NOTE: Relationships does not necessarily mean romances, it means both romances and friendship. And enmity and all that.

I found the relationships between characters that were not given that much time, rather interesting. Tyrion/Jon, Ned/Jon, Jaime/Tyrion for example.

I was particularly interested in two of such relationships; Jaime/Ned and Cersei/Sansa. Jaime's tension with Ned was pretty interesting. I don't know the reason for this, but it always seemed to me that Ned was one of those people who Jaime considered 'peers' of sorts. Others being Rhaegar, Arthur Dayne, Selmy etc. It appeared Jaime wanted to get Ned's respect and was angry at Ned's disdain for him. And the whole forcing-off-the-throne gave this dynamic an interesting twist.

As for Cersei and Sansa, I could always sense that Cersei tried to be... eh, motherly? Well not motherly but she seemed to care about dressing Sansa up and talking with her about womanly topics and other stuff. I found their interaction in the Blackwater Battle rather entertaining. Sansa the Innocent and Cersei the Not Innocent.

Cersei was all like "I'm drunk unstable, little dove. Come here so that I can scare the shit out of you."

Even thought it was unseen, Robert/Stannis seemed awesome. Renly/Stannis was cool too.

Others I like are Arya/The Hound, Sansa/LF, Sam/Jon, Theon/Roose.

Ah, I was going to mention Robert/Stannis as well. Always wondered why Robert disliked his fellow bad-ass Baratheon so much.

I loved the Arya/Gendry/Hot Pie trio....hilarity always seemed to ensue.

I'm currently reading AFFC and ADWD simulataneously and I find Jaime/Tyrion's perception of each other's relationship quite interesting.  Jaime is very protective of Tyrion, and it seems like he always has been.  Tyrion acknowledges Jaime's protection of him, but also harbors a pretty deep resentment and wants Cersei AND Jaime dead.

I'm also a fan of the Jon/Sam/Dolorous Edd/Pyp/Grenn gang

Arya/Jon. I really want to see them interact again. I'm sure both of them could use some family right about now.

Stannis/Davos is also my favourite bromance in all the land. Also one of my favourite ships, but I can like the relationship as non-romantic too.

Brienne/Cat: one of oh-so-rare examples of female friendship in the books. Cat's taking the younger woman under her wing and Brienne's heartfelt devotion to her makes me happy.

Jon/Sam's friendship is another one I liked and their drifting apart after Jon became LC made me sad. :crying:

There's a part of me that is fascinated by the Theon/Ramsay dynamic-the grotesque, horrifying, brutal way in which Ramsay breaks Theon and he then fights back make his chapters both my favourite from Dance as well as the ones I had the hardest time reading.

Jon/Mance-for obvious, slashy reasons.

I liked them especially in GOT.

Also, the Bran, Meera, Jojen, Hodor, and Summer group has a great dynamic.

Jon/Arya is by far my fave. They should meet asap.

Davos's devotion to Stannis and the latter's respect for the Onion Knight is remarkable.

Ned/Catelyn is sweet.

And Theon/Ramsay... "Reek belongs to Ramsay and Ramsay belongs to Reek"

What a good topic; there are several relationships that I really enjoy from the series.

1.  Cersei and Jaime -  This is one that puzzles me.  He genuinely loves her, I think, and I think she loves him, as much as she is capable, but they are ultimately REALLY bad for one another.  The power dynamic between the two of them, and how she has it and he doesn't for most of the series, really fascinates me.

2.  The Hound and Arya-  These two are just hysterical, but the thing I like best about their interaction is this:  I suspected that he was a decent person during his interactions with Sansa at KL.  His interactions with Arya confirm it.

3.  Dolorous Edd and anyone - He is fantastic.

4.  Cersei and Tyrion - The hatred is deep between these two, although Cersei obviously hates him more.  I don't think we're given the total picture of what went on between the two of them as children.  I would like to know more.

Arya and Jon - I just love everything about it, every single moment they have spent together. I think it's the two characters I want to see reunited the most. And I love that the most  fraternal relationship in the story is between cousins and not siblings. :)

I love the Jaime/Ned dynamic.  It is so fascinating.  I wonder how Jaime's life would be different if it had been someone other than Ned who had come into that throneroom (I know a couple of his father's men were there briefly, but I mean a major player).  He does seem frustrated and resentful not to be able to get more respect from Ned - I always wonder if at some level, even though he won't admit it consciously, Ned is angry that Jaime was there when his father/brother were murdered, but did nothing, when later he showed that he was capable of killing the king.

Jaime/Tyrion - they have virtually no time together in the books other than that first visit to Winterfell and then that brief conversation in Tyrion's cell when Jaime sets him free, and yet their complex love for each other is evident all throughout each of their POVs.

Brienne/Cat - it makes me so sad that the real Catelyn will never know how hard Brienne has tried to keep her vows to her.  It kills me to see Lady Stoneheart just spit on that.

Hound/Arya - I think he liked being her surrogate dad by the end.  It was sweet.  Yes, I said sweet.  Sue me.
