I miss the days of being squashed in the tube with the book held close to my face. I guess I could simulate this by reading in a cupboard. I think standard sitting in a chair is preferred style. I don't know if I've got dodgy circulation but when i read lying down I get pins and needles in one or both arms.

Recliner.  Books sitting on pillow on lap.  Recliners are one way we know God loves us.

Feet up on the sofa, usually cuddled into the back.  It helps if there's a cup of coffee to hand, a fire in front of me and a torrential downpour outside.

In bed, slightly reclined. Although it's extremely bad for my back, I still do it.

Lying on my back in bed. Two, maybe three pillows under my head.

Lounging on my bed, leaning back against a stack of pillows, with my legs stretched out before me. If reading a book, book is in my lap (and I've usually bent my knees up to lean the book against them). But primarily nowadays I read on my laptop which sits at the end of my bed, with my wireless mouse next to me.

So much easier to smoke a bowl pipe with two hands this way!

Generally lying prone (on a couch, bed, daybed, etc.) with comfy pillows under my head and neck (and occasionally for upper back support), a beverage of some kind nearby; maybe a snack, too. Shoes off of course.

Or partially or completely prone in my comfy *power* recliner, with it's infinitely adjustable positions for variety at just the touch of button. (I'm one with wolverine, on recliners!)

Chair or sofa. I don't read in bed much these days (so that's what they're calling it...).

Toilet or sitting up in bed. I read almost the entirety of Anna Karenina on the loo, not in one sitting mind you.
