Roose Bolton totally wrote this letter.

There's no way he didn't. Most likely so if something went TOTALLY wrong at the end of the day, he could ultimately blame Ramsay and save his own neck.

Considering how cunning, cautious and well-aware of what Ramsay is like, I wouldn't put this past him.

So i'm going to say this was all Roose, BUT it's probably something Ramsay would've written anyway.

Although I , too , really enjoyed and appreciated fassreiter's post, I'm still leaning to Stannis ( read and maybe edited by Thorne )

I didn't read all of this thread, but it's probably been mentioned...I think Manderly sent the letter. There's almost no way Ramsay could be so stupid as to goad Jon to going to Winterfell where Jon can speak up to the other northern lords and say that it's not the real Arya. This would explain why it includes a mention of Reek. I'll have to reread and get back to you....
