This has been stickied at the top of the General forum for almost a month now, and I somehow missed it completely.
I always kept checking the entertainment forum for his insight and commentary on the entertainment industry to crop up. He will be sorely missed.

I'm so shocked to read this. I have not been on this board for a very long time and I only took a look today by coincidence. Even though, I rarely interacted with Brude directly, it is very devastating to learn that he will not be around anymore. It's too sad.

I really only read the book threads for the most part so I'm only just now seeing this.
I'm so sorry to hear this happened. Brude is the guy who let me know about this board and made me aware of so many theories I'd never have known about or considered otherwise. Before he clued me in one day and told me that there was way better discussion going on here I'd only been posting about ASOIAF over at IMDB. I always enjoyed reading his posts in both places and wondered what happened to him. I'm shocked and especially sad to know that he was so young.
RIP.

I am writing with the sad news that my roommate David, who once posted to and moderated this forum as Brude, has died. I know how much he loved this forum, and how much he loved the Ice and Fire books. And how much he hated spoilers. I know he'd be pleased to see his anti-spoiler policy still pinned to the top of the Entertainment topic list; and he'd be even more pleased to see that the community that he was so proud to be a part of continues to flourish.
David died unexpectedly of a heart attack, the doctors believe in his sleep. He was 40 years old.

I come here too infrequently, and post even less, but my sincere condolences go out to those who were lucky enough to know him in the world. I always enjoyed his insight and passion on movies and the whole pop culture gamut, but I can't imagine what a loss it must be for those who knew the entire man.

Like Mat I've been through this part of the forum several times and am sorry to say that it's taken me this long to notice that this news was posted. Incredibly sad. Way too young. I've seen his posts on several threads on this forum. He was a thoughtful and intelligent mand and he'll be missed in our little community.
My thoughts and condolences are with you and his friends and family.
