Bronn of Wales Posted September 20, 2012 Share Posted September 20, 2012 lorch has a type of leather plated armour - tanned leather plates constructed to make a robust but lightweight protection from sword slashes (no good against a pointed thrust) but it is quick to put on, will cause minimal fatigue and a damn sight more comfortable than wearing a 14 guage plate armour while on horse back.Check out a website www.battleready.com - it has some great leather armour you will recognise.Egens plate armour looks great - it is rented from a company who supply it to HBO as I have seen it used in The Tudors in a jousting scene. I think it looks fantastic (in reality it would be very time conusming to manufacture) and I would love a chance to purchase a set if I could find out who makes it and I have been searching for quite a while.Hope this help.
