I rarely post in this thread, but Jesus fucking Christ why did no one ever tell me about The Knux earlier?  Apparently they blew threw town the other day, and put on a hell of a show, but I only hear of them afterword.  I may have to break down and buy a whole album for the first time in five years, these guys are good.

And honestly, why do I not see more people rapping and playing instruments?  So cool.

Halfway through listening to Bob Dylan's Tempest.  Too soon for an official verdict, but through 5 songs it's no Time Out of Mind.  Maybe the last 5 songs will wow me.

Still, it's Dylan.

I had been eagerly anticipating the new John Frusciante album, and while it doesn't feature a great deal of Guitar  Pbx Funicular Intaglio Zone is brilliant, who knew he had a penchant for 8 Bit and an appreciation of Drum n' Bass :D.

Holy shit that was brutal/poignant awesome.

"...I see my childhood, I'm back in the arms of my mother
I see my whole life, I see Christ, I see bright lights
I see Israelites, Muslims and Christians at peace, no fights
Blacks, Whites, Asians, people of all types
I must have died, then I woke up, surprised I'm alive
I'm in a hospital bed, they rescued me, I survived
I escaped the war, came back
But ain't escape Agent Orange, two of my kids born handicapped
Spastic, quadriplegic, micro cephalic  Cerebral palsy,
cortical blindness, name it they had it
My son died he ain't live, but I still try to think positive
Cause in life, God take, God give"

the songs the true account of the artists (R.A. the rugged man) farthers experiences during and after the Vietnam war.
if you were a fan of this you might like Dance with the devil - immortal technique, but be warned this ones a grim song to listen too. very grim story.

Sci, I've begged you before to start it.

And you and @Francis Buck have me stuck on Muse's "Madness."

I still have been listening to some Stevie Ray Vaughan.  Really, really in a Stevie Ray mood.

"....Louder than sirens
Louder than bells
Sweeter than heaven
And hotter than hell
As I move my feet towards your body
I can hear this beat it fills my head up
And gets louder and louder
It fills my head up and gets louder and louder
I run to the river and dive straight in
I pray that the water will drown out the din
But as the water fills my mouth
It couldn't wash the echoes out
But as the water fills my mouth
It couldn't wash the echoes out
I swallow the sound and it swallows me whole
Till there's nothing left inside my soul
As empty as that beating drum
But the sound has just begun..."

It might sound like a joke among all these great songs, but Oppa Spacejam Style: http://soundcloud.co...-spacejam-style

Also, from Princess Mononoke, Legend of Ashitaka.
That song gives me something more than the goosebumps.

I was going through my library and found some songs I haven't listened to in a while:
The Servant- Cells
The sun goes up and the sun goes down
I drag myself into the town
All I do I want to do with you
Everyday I'm at my desk
At my desk I'm like the rest
All I do I want to do with you

Battlestar Galactica Apocalypse Live: Ignore the cellist experiencing some weird musical rapture/seizure,

From Battlestar as well, much less energetic: Passacaglia,Allegro

And from Florence + The Machine: Hospital Beds. Bonus points for Florence Welch in a Captain America costume.
