Fighting fire with fire works in certain scenarios - wild bush fires for a example. But I didn't mean literally, it's an expression :)

That's just leting the fire burn all the dry material though. Its a good expression I just didn't think it worked here. But I can see situations in the song where fighting fire with fire is the only option.
