Could Jon Snow actually be Aegon Targaryen

Um no. He's got a direwolf. Stark sigil. So he cannot possibly be the child of Rhaegar and Elia.

Not only that. But also, Jon has Stark features, Ned says that Jon is his younger mini-me. Jon lookes like Arya who looks like Lyanna. Cat said:

Whoever Jon's mother had been, Ned must have loved her fiercely, for nothing Catelyn said would persuade him to send the boy away.

how come and Ned loved Elia "fiercly".

And on top of all those Ned remembers the bodies of the Targ children not child.

My point was that suppose Elia was rendered infertile after her daughter was born. It is possible both Aegon *and* Jon Snow are Lyanna's kids by Rhaegar, especially given the pressure for a male heir, and maybe this is why Elia was rendered immobile for 6 months following Aegon's arrival - that would give Lyanna time to nurse the child somewhat and potentially move out of the castle. She and Rhaegar could then head for the Tower of Joy, leaving one heir in different locations in case the war went awry. Maybe each of the kids resemble a different parent at that point.

Real Aegon was a year older than Jon.

Lyanna disappears in 281, rAegon is born in 282, Jon is born in 283. The timeline is plausible.

Aegon was born prior to Lyanna's disappearance.

Viserys, was her first thought the next time she paused, but a second glance told her otherwise. The man had her brother’s hair, but he was taller, and his eyes were a dark indigo rather than lilac. “Aegon,” he said to a woman nursing a newborn babe in a great wooden bed. “What better name for a king?”

“Will you make a song for him?” the woman asked.

“He has a song,” the man replied. “He is the prince that was promised, and his is the song of ice and fire.” He looked up when he said it and his eyes met Dany’s, and it seemed as if he saw her standing there beyond the door. “There must be one more,” he said, though whether he was speaking to her or the woman in the bed she could not say. “The dragon has three heads.” He went to the window seat, picked up a harp, and ran his fingers lightly over its silvery strings. Sweet sadness filled the room as man and wife and babe faded like the morning mist, only the music lingering behind to speed her on her way.

- ACoK, Daenerys IV (HotU)

GRRM also confirmed that Aegon was born about a year before the sack.

In other words, the timeline is not plausible.

Lyanna disappears in 281, rAegon is born in 282, Jon is born in 283. The timeline is plausible.

ToH was also in 281, Rhaegar returned to KL->Aegon was born and then he disappears with Lyanna.

How could Lyanna be in a Tourney, some months later disappeared with Rhaegar, get pregnant, spend 9 months of pregnancy and giving birth in the same year?

Lyanna and Rhaegar might have had relations at that time...either way she disappears some time after that with the Kingsguard present at the abduction...

From the ToH page you linked, as per the word of GRRM:

"Rhaegar's indiscretion culminated in his abduction of Lyanna a year later"

Again. The Tourney was at 281, months later Aegon was born and we have seen from Dany's chapter that Elia was holding Aegon with Rhaegar being in the room, then Rhaegar disappears with Lyanna and reappears in 283.

We know that the woman who was holding Aegon was Elia and that Rhaegar was there, like we know that the time Lyanna disappeared was the time that Rhaegar disappeared. How could Lyanna disappeared when Rhaegar hadn't?

You are correct, OP, crazy theory is crazy.

That's a bit harsh, considering some of the crackpots and long bows being drawn every day!

Does anybody know how long an actual year in Westeros lasts??

An Earth year lasts for 365 days, of which a normal human gestation period is about 3/4.

Who's to say a year is still 1.33 times longer than a typical pregnancy in Westeros? Until someone can point to a place that clearly states a Westeros year is the same length of time as an Earth year then all timeline 'impossibilities' - especially those down to just a year as argued by several above, are moot.

As far as the age factor, I have two sons, aged 5 and 3, since the time they were 1 and 3 people (strangers) have ALWAYS asked me if they are twins....there is a two year gap between them (26 months to be exact) and I can't even count the # of times I'm asked if they are twins.

Yes but, it's not how old they look. It's how old they really are. We know that Aegon was born in 282 and Jon in 283.

GRRM has said that a year is twelve moons. Also, Daenerys says that she was born nine moons after her mother fled from King's Landing. Gestation = nine months. Year = twelve months.

Aegon was a year old when King's Landing fell. Robb was a mere newborn, and Jon was younger, obviously than Robb. If he looked to be the same age or older, then Catelyn has no cause for jealousy. Ergo: Aegon =/= Jon
