Winterfell is Burning
Beast just claimed he was gay to fuck with people's heads. He wasn't.Yes, but then he begins to date Brand...I Know. But I was looking for evidence to back up my ridiculous claims :)Bendis doing Guardians of the Galaxy. with Iron Man in it. Wonder if RDJ's contract includes doing iron man films outside the Avengers and Iron Man? I'm non-plussed as to why they can't figure out how to get Spider-man, Wolverine and Captain America on the squad. Then again, Bendis does tease there is something that connects Guardians and hi X-men book, so that's probably Wolverine. No, it's not Wolverine:Bendis: And they couldn’t be more wildly different. And wait until you find out the connection between All-New X-Men and Guardians. On Earth, there’s a lot of space-time continuum abuse, and the butterfly effect doesn’t always reveal itself on Earth. So someone’s bouncing back and forth in time...Nrama: The original X-Men, maybe?Bendis: Maybe! Somewhere else in the galaxy, someone else is feeling the ramifications of that decision, and that’s going to be coming full force. How about them apples? Nephrite
Cole Cash we hardly knew you.Well, there's room for a Ripclaw series now.Yeah, I'm aware that it's not Ripclaw. It's Stormknife.
red snow
Space clone wolverine? Maybe that Skrull didn't die from years back ;)Can't think of who that woulb wind up. Is the Watcher still alive and kicking? I guess messing with time would give him a migraine. Otherwise I'd like it to be Corsair (as he's kind of fun) or Vulcan as they could be affected by time-meddling on Earth.

Nephrite
I'm assuming it's a good thing I don't know who either of those characters are?Well, I made one up. Ripclaw is a Wolverine wannabe from Silvestri's Cyber Force.Stormknife is something that would blow your mind, man. Blow it wide open.
Morpheus
Stormknife sounds like he has a lot of pouches, knives that protrude at uncomfortable angles from their sheaths, and, despite his name, an absurdly large gun....with a blade protruding from the bottom of the muzzle. He doesn't have a gun. He has two.He also have knives for fingers and a ponytail that goes all the way to the floor, but it doesn't interfere with his karate. He's totally original and shit. His pants are made of chains.
red snow
He sounds fucking awesome. He should be in at least 12 comics a month (and wear a slightly different costume in each one). 90s-tastic,Does he have a teenage side-kick called lightningdagger (prefearably with large breasts and the ability to rotate at the waist by 180 degrees)? Still, it's nice to see DC guys struggling to muster something to talk about for almost 4 minutes when the topic is Wonder Woman. There's another video on the site where through the magic of editing they cut down what I'm sure is a whole hour of Azzarello trying to come up with the name of just one DC villain that he doesn't think it's crap. Also, of note in the video? Jim Lee's utter detachment from reality. Graves? You are either on drugs or dead inside, Jim. Fuckin' Graves. Graves himself doesn't think of himself as his favorite villain.Looking at the DC Solicitations. Cause I like to cry a lot.Ah, if I had the time and the energy and infinite resources of some kind of web that allows browsing of images I'd collect all the covers where one or all the members of JLA are apparently sleeping on the floor while a villain, or worse, that waste of ink Red Tornado is wrecking havoc. It seems like Superman and Zatanna need their nap-time and usually that time is when crime is afoot. What I'm saying is: there's too many of those covers around.John Layman must be delighted that he barely started working on Batman and already he's polishing a crossover turd.Joker wants to marry Batgirl. I feel sorry for him cause she is a horrible person."Plus, a new hero is introduced, and Wonder Woman fights monsters!"I don't know why, but this made me chuckle.Doug Mahnke is still chained to that same rock while that poison known as Hal Jordan is slowly dripping into his eyes.John Constantine is in every DC book. Making up for lost time while Vertigo acted like they own the place, I guess. So the whole H'el crossover is Superman books is because H'el is a squatter in Superman's Fortress of Solitude? And they say DC has forgotten its Silver Age roots.Saying goodbye to Demon Knights. There was too many of you, talking at the same time and for a comic with an infinite budget it sure seemed like I was watching a theater production.Whistling Skull looks great and it also looks like it has absolutely nothing to do with JSA. Well, if slapping a JSA logo on this book gets it published, than slap away. Also on the cover for the second month in a row the number 52 is featured prominently. I really hope that's some plot element and not Dan DiDio's borderline OCD obsession with that number like it's the key to unlocking the secrets of time, space and getting laid. The year has 52 weeks, man. If it had 192, you'd be killing as with that number of futile comics and parallel universes?
aka The Rat
I'm gonna miss Demon Knights and Frankenstein. Especially since Frank finally plunged into the Rotworld* stuff. Animal Man, Swamp Thing, and Frankenstein were shaping up to be a fun and monster-y (and mostly cohesive) corner of the "Nu52". Demon Knights was just fun for me.* I didn't get caught up on Frankenstein until I read through Animal Man and Swamp Thing. It was fun to go back to Constantine's "Wait 'til they find out I'm not talking about Swampy." comment from Animal Man and realize who he meant.Edited To Add:Oops!!! Demon Knights is not cancelled. It's just ranking low in sales. I blame this on the Phoenix Force, which I also blame for the miraculous return of my mutant powers: confusion and semi-literacy. Winterfell is Burning
I am never able to follow DC for long, because I never know what's canon or not, and the 300 Flashes bother me.That said, I loved both Morrison's and Giffen/De Matteis' JLA runs, in part because I could mostly just ignore everything else. But I don't even know if those are in continuity or not anymore.
Sci-2
For me DC is Action Comics, Batwoman,, and Batman Inc, with a possibility of buying Justice League Dark in trade.I want to like JLA but I get the feeling the Pandor/Question/Phantom Stranger JLA event is going to be bad. red snow
I didn't know Demon Knights was being cancelled? Not that I've been reading it - although it seemed a good title in terms of being self-contained even if it initially seemed to be a Stormwatch medieval.Funny how WinterfellIB doesn't like DC for not knowing what's canon or not as my main gripe with Marvel is their very blunt telling you something isn't canon anymore. Sometimes I'm disappointed that DC didn't really start from scratch at all.I think we have the bare bones of an amazing Stormknife series. We just need to convince Liefeld to draw it. We should brace ourselves for him quitting after a few issues because we get annoyed at him not reading the scripts and drawing his own story (but that could only make the comic more awesome) and then he'll shit all over us on twitter. Good publicity for us though.
Nephrite
Demon Knights is not being cancelled. Not yet anyway. I'm giving it 6 moths. It's just getting a new writer and I'm taking that opportunity to get out of Dodge. That said, I loved both Morrison's and Giffen/De Matteis' JLA runs, in part because I could mostly just ignore everything else. But I don't even know if those are in continuity or not anymore. They are not. DC's timeline is compressed into a 5 year widow, where Batman managed to go through 4 Robins-- Actually 3 Robins. Cause, Tim Drake was never a Robin. also he was never apparently Tim Drake. I don't know what that means, and I'm sure neither is DC. They just want to have their reboot cake and eat it too. Damian Wayne is also, ten, which means Bruce and Talia had hi when they were 15 or something.
red snow
The new Batman timeline is an embarassment and pretty much highlights that they didn't reboot Batman at all and just carried on as normal. I don't really see why DC had to create such a minefield with their insistence that superheroes had only been known of for 5 years. Batman is a vigilante he's not really super. They could have had him doing his thing with his Robins and his sex with villain's daughters and it wouldn't really have affected the 5 year old thing,I'm sure Green Lantern is similarly messed up as that didn't reboot. I haven't read the new green lanterns but it must be almost as hard to imagine how they are on their 5th green lntern in 5 years. did Hal manage to go Parallax, destroy the corps, die reigniting the sun, have a stint as the spectre and come back to life? Busy guy.

haLobEnder
Wait, Demon Knights got axed too? The CBR article only mentioned Grifter, Blue Beatle, Frankenstein and Legion Lost.My Saga trade comes in today... read the first issue and loved it, but decided I wanted to be able to show it off as shelf porn :PETA: Am I the only one who thinks that Uncanny Avengers cover is being flashed around way too much as if it were some great masterwork of the comics medium? The perspective on that cover feels really off... that's all I'm saying.
Sci-2
Honestly even the interior art of Uncanny didn't blow me away. I realize there's a bias because I dislike Marvel Now! after AvX, but it didn't feel like it had the same vibrancy of Planetary or Whedon's Asthonishing X-men.
