Fundraising ideas/organization for the American Heart Association

I was pretty impressed by it.
And then I thought to myself, here we are, in our little corner of the internet with thousands of members. Our little slice of home has lost two members to heart conditions. Both young, smart, well respected members. We did the donation for EHK for that Chicago White Sox Kids charity...and that was not bad. I think we raised over a thousand dollars or so.
I'd like to organize something here to donate to the American Heart Association. I'd like to get some people who might be willing to donate some cool items our members could bid on, and all the proceeds going to the AHA.
I'm still figuring out how to pull this off with the bids and stuff, we could do it via paypal like before I guess, but I'd like to streamline it a bit more.
Im willing to ante up right now, and say Im willing to put up my A Game of Throne first edition signed by the man himself for people to bid on.
It doesn't have to be all books or GRRM related stuff. Anything of value that might pull in some coin for the AHA. Like I know this dude who is supposed to make some killer bacon. Or maybe someone has a stash of asoiaf tshirts somewhere? Or maybe someone has some art work?
So I'd like to know if anyone is interested in this? Surely our forum can top my little shaving forum and beat 15k in donations...right? RIGHT???

Sounds good man. With the lack of people commenting, I'm willing to take anything at this point. Kind of worried people may not be interested in something like this.

If anyone has some ideas or can help out my silly ass with how to construct this introductory summary about our page, that would be great.
Thanks.

I was thinking the same thing, but the offer will always be open. I'll take some time in the next week or so to look for anything else I could put up.

Just want to have someone try the link and make sure they can see the information.
ETA: Again I'd like to expand a bit more in the description area, so if anyone has some ideas, feel free to drop em here or message me.

Normally I'm the bidder, not the seller, so I'm not used to this side of things!

Well as of right now, speaking for myself only, I have that first edition AGOT signed Im going to auction off. Plus I have a Millenium Falcon model original from 1983. Still in original box, assembly waiting on whomever bids the highest.
