Just want to say again, if anyone has anything interesting, cool, unusual...DOES NOT NEED TO BE ASOIAF RELATED, and you would be willing to donate said items for auction, we'd appreciate it. If you are unsure about an item or service, feel free to shoot me a PM with any questions.

Yeah, I have some non-ASOIAF books I can donate, including some ARCs, I think. If I can get out to my storage unit (and then into my storage unit), I may have some more ASOIAF-related goodies. In any case, I may also offer some homemade goodies, either baked goods or basic needlework.
Dub, you saw on your shaving forum what sort of "misc" things did well, right? Can you give us a summary? We can all look at con_or_bust on livejournal, too, as I think they've always done reasonably well with their auctions. That can give everybody ideas for the day-to-day things that get big bids / lots of interest. (Dub, on a separate note, that could be an idea for organization, too. If we don't have a temporary forum here, something journal-like that can be split one-entry-per-item might help keep track of everything.)
Where people's professions permit, I know that services have done well in the past, too. Blog posts on a bidder-picked topic, Tuckerization / insertion into a forthcoming work, literary criticism, lots of options.

One of our friends is a Gyotaku artist. This is his website. http://shellcreekink.com/ Is a donation from him something that would work for you? I can ask him for a painting and take care of everything for you. His art is just beautiful. Let me know if you think it's appropriate. Thanks!
I'm game to try anything. Anyone else interested in some art work? Pick up some art for your home, money goes to fighting heart disease...sounds like a good deal to me.

No promises, but if you think people might be interested, I'm seeing what I can do about a donation of a couple of tickets to see a show at St. Vitus (show TBD) in Brooklyn. Will be of primary interest to (i) residents of the greater New York area and (ii) metal fans, but I actually think there might be an audience here. . . . (ahem).

I can scour my house for things to donate. I'm pretty young for these forums so i don't have a whole lot to offer, but this is so lovely of you to do! A few years ago i knitted some stuff for people in hospital, so i can do that if you'd like. Or just ask my parents for money.
Lets face it, i'm basically support-bumping the thread. But let me know if there's anything a poor teenager with well-off parents who give money to charities instead of giving it to me can do
