I thought that Grad ep had way too many things going on, and suffered for it. It did end well, Jer coming back, Bonnie not, Elena being able to turn the tables and Kath being human, and the whole Stefan/Silas thing.

about Katherine becoming human. we know that she doesn't like being human. wouldn't it be very easy to become a vampire again? she could drink vamp blood and then die
so it is not a big game changer.
or maybe for some reason a vamp who has taken the cure can not go back to being one

It's a big deal because if she becomes a vampire again, she won't be as powerful as she was before, she'd just be a juvenile one, and even Elena will have no trouble dealing with her. She'll be a menace to no one anymore and for that reason I think Kath will decide to stay human.

Great finale,I loved everything.Lexy,Alaric...all of them dead ppl moments.Drink on the graveyard,Damon telling Alaric he'll keep and eye on him while pouring him one last drink only to look up and see he's gone. I loved how Elena is back to her old normal self and I love love love how finally they gave us real,genuine Delena moment.No sire bonds,no nothing just her picking Damon after all. Finally I waited for so long I loved how they tied the Originals stories nicely with Klaus saying he'll wait for Karoline and Rebekah getting her romantic Italian road trip with her perfect boy. When she doesn't get back next year and Mat does it'll make sense since he said it's only for one road trip and nothing more. Cool. Jer is back!!!!Yeah I was worried for a sec That's after Delena my favorite moment. We get to keep his shirtlesness. I like the fact that  we  won't have Bonnie anymore but not as a character but as a whitchy deus ex machina.Now they don't have someone who'll magically appear and save the day with a spell,they'll actually have to work for it next time.No one to just swoop in and petrify the bad guy. I think they might keep her around though cause we have Jer who can see dead ppl so they can use it. I hope Tyler will be back too. Meow

The only thing I dind't like was Silas is Stefan, God we now have evil Stefan...cause they never used it before. Lame. And Doppelganger thing is also very new and fresh. Cmon ppl.

Did anyone else get Stefan and Karoline get together vibe throughout this season? I don't like that road. I mean I like their friendship,please don't ruin it. Pretty please

You think Klaus is going to let Katherine go back to being a vampire when he has a brand new source of hybrid-making goodness now?  Either she'll flee for her life, or she'll become Klaus' pincushion for the next 100 years.

Their power doesn't seem to be as dependent on age as say True Blood so I think she could still be a menace as a Vampire, also I don't really get why anyone would want to be human in the TVD, there don't really seem to be any downsides to being a Vampire-keep humanity check,be able to go out in daylight check, become ageless and get a load of superpowers,check, they really should make more negatives for them.

Uh-uh? But ofc the age matters. They make that assessment several times ("I'm older than you, you can't beat" and so on). Katherine herself said it plenty of times and it is evidenced with how she overpowers the Salvatore brothers and Elena. Also, I remember Anna's mother making that very clear to Damon when she threatened to kill him because she was older and hence stronger. Age does matter.

As for your second point, who knows. Maybe Katherine becoming a vampire enhanced her capability to be a bitch and it has now diminished and she'll accept taking a normal life, a real one.

I agree Kat won't like her new gained humanity. She won;t be able to compel her way out of things,her treats will now be empty and no one will be afraid of her.She'll be Klaus chew toy if he catches her and she has no powers that helped her to escape him for 500 years. Plus she has attitude she now can't back up with her vampireness. She's nothing. Maybe she'll embrace it. I don't know.Can't wait to see

Well, maybe Kat cannot become a Vampire again. Mystic cure has made her human again. Perhaps she is stuck that way. Maybe that is her plot next season, trying to become a Vampire again.

That would be a nice little solution for the writers...the cure is permanent.

It isn't a major theme, but they do get stronger as they get older on VD. I also wouldnt say True Blood does that even as much as the Southern Vampire Mystery (from which it comes from).

The Vampire Chronicles did that the most, but there were cheats, were a younger vampire got stronger by drinking an older vampires blood.

It isn't that stupid Twilight crap were baby vamps are the strongest (WTF) and vamps glitter.

As to going out in Daylight, they  need witch to spell an item to do that, but all the major vampire characters have one.
