Dawn is the blade AA forged to end the long night.

I think Lightbringer was a special child who was later known as Brandon the Builder. His father was an ancestral Dayne who was the Last Hero and his mother was a female CotF. Brandon the Builder became the Lightbringer and he led humanity to victory. It is possible that he created a dragon by crossbreeding different species. I am sure that Hardhome is home to firewyrms and there were giant bat skeletons inside the CotF cave.

Our new Lightbringer is again a special child, or a special snowflake as some people call.

Well according to Maester Aemon the true Lightbringer generates HEAT. There is nothing in any of the books that states that DAWN generates heat or light of any kind.

As each dawn brings the light of day Dawn has to be Lightbringer. It is already in the name.

And if a fantasy series features a legendary sword it has to be used at some point.

Crackpot: Dawn was in the crypts. Ned returning it to Starfall is an alibi for going there. He brought it back. Because of its heat Winterfell has been warm. It is the fourth, older sword that Hodor took and he'll fight with it warged by Bran. Maybe has to stab Meera first?

SSM:

"Dawn remains at Starfall, until another Sword of the Morning shall arise."

Date?

Because of five year gap, previously announced release dates and so on.

As Franz Beckenbauer said: "Was schert mich mein Geschwätz von gestern."

From the wiki page on Dawn- it has a link to the specifc SSM.

If the 5 years gap was not abandoned, Edric might have used it. Now, it looks like Gerold Dayne will steal it out of spite.

Dawn is in Starfall. Ned Stark gave Dawn back to House Dane.

Dawn was said to be forged from the heart of a fallen star. Starfall is the name of the Dayne's caste. Who is going to forge the new LB? Gendry? Will that make Gendry AA?It would not provoke me if Dawn is LB was waiting to be ignited.
