Dark Sister is described as being a slender blade, while Longclaw is a bastard sword. Unfortunately the size between the two doesn't match, Longclaw would be a similar size to Blackfyre which was also a bastard sword.

I wonder how this ever sprang up? I guess it's maybe because Jon has a secret identity so people think his sword must have one as well.

While Tyrion would like to get the Rock, the way to doing it (and to keeping the prize) is to bring stability to Westeros. Tyrion has good political instincts, he could be a valuable addition to Dany's court.
he also knows fair bit of dragonlore (atleast up to a point that he "obvious" belly weakspot isn't), I kinda think he'll get one of dragons after Victarion blows the horn.

Jorah... Well, him going to NW would be the bittersweet ending for him. Bitter - no Bear Island. Sweet - alive, with a bit of luck with all extremities still attached, and at last in Westeros.
If he dies, I hope it'll be clean and quick - we've seen way too many messy deaths already.

People want Jorah to die? Being roasted by dragons? All the scummy pieces of shit left in this series (Ramsay, Cersei, Littlefinger, Euron, Qyburn), and its Jorah the doormat/Friend Zoned/desperate Nice Guy that deserves death by dragonfire?

The guys a loser, but c'moon.

Also I'd almost forgotten, will Jorah survive an encounter with Victarion after the Battle of Fire? (Ironborn and Mormonts don't mix at the best of times, throw in that they are both crushing on the same woman, and both brutish, and its gonna be explosive violence).

Whilst that would be a funny dynamic. I think the main thing is that Jorah would never be able to have sex with Dany so would never earn the wroth of Vic; but at the same time Dany would not let him overtly kill Jorah. So it would be an impasse that would be hostile, but not lead to actual bloodshed.

Plus, the preview chapters have me doubting Vic surviving the Battle of Fire

{Spoiler} Victarion gets three slaves to blow the horn and then blows it himself before entering slavers bay. Any man who blows the horn dies. {Spoiler}

I could Martin killing off Ser Jorah in order to avoid having to think up a scenario for Dany accepting him back. Alternately, he will do it to delay Tyrion, Ser Barristan and Marwyn the Mage learning about the vision of the blue flower in a chink in a wall of ice.

I think Jorah will live as he is a strong and capable soldier, and he will hear from Sam about his father's last words.

Is it possible he already knows? But may not understand that the child lives?

I don't want Barristan to die either. The issue of serving Aerys aside, he is honorable and compassionate man. He should at leats live long enough to learn about R+L=J.

Absolutely not -- Tyrion's only interested in a way of getting back at his family and laying his hands on Casterly Rock.  Imo, Tyrion will only give Dany advice that advances his own interests and I can see him trying to undermine her other counselors to get ahead.  It seems to me that Daario would be a perfect target of Tyrion's nasty wit (assuming he's still alive) and I can see Tyrion going after him and causing all sorts of trouble.  I also can't imagine Barristan welcoming the Imp with open arms.  I firmly believe that Tyrion was sent to Dany to (1) be killed, because Varys' doesn't want a smart Lannister in Westeros, or (2) to cause chaos in Dany's camp.

If 2 is the case, then how would that explain Illyrio taking Tyrion to Rolly and the half-maester and subsequently Connington and Young Griff? If their plan was to head towards Meereen I don't see how Tyrion causing chaos in Dany's camp would help the two parties get along.

As for Jorah, I don't think he'll die yet. I think it's far more likely that he will (quite possibly literally) stab Barristan in the back. I personally think Barristan signed his literary death warrant when he made his promises to the Dornishmen and the Tattered Prince. Jorah on the other hand needs to survive if only to continue to stir up dissent between the various members of Dany's entourage.

Regarding the Others and Bear Island:  if it gets cold enough to kill whenever the Others appear, it also probably gets cold enough to freeze salt water.  All they have to do is walk across the ice (or ride their white spiders).
Yeah I'm not a Tyrion fan either, so I question if he can give Dany true counsel. I would worry for her if Tyrion was amongst her inner circle.
