Well, I was just thinking, Varys is a master of desguises, he desguised himself a lot, even when he went to visit Ned in the black cells.

I was wondering, it's sounds crazy, I know, if he could have desguised Ned and someone died in Ned's place, a prisoner oblied to speak Ned's words (I know it's hard to believe) and maybe Ned was taken away, Jaqen was in the Black Cells at that time, and if Varys asked for the FM's help and he helped Jaqen to freed himself as he knows once Jaqen got out he would escape easly. I just keep this feeling, why Varys was visiting Ned, it was like twice. And they could have sliped the man some crazy potion  to make him do what they wish, impersonate Ned, as magic kinda exist in ASOIAF world, so why not some crazy potion?
As I said, it's really crackpot

I believe a lot of people is dead in these books, but I have this feeling about Ned, I got the inspiration to this watching the last episode of season 2 again, Valar Morghulis

 :cool4:

Ned did have a great head on his shoulders but I think he's still a gonner (to quote Sean Bean from Clear and Present Danger)

In saying that, I think Martin could've written more about Ned instead of the pointless couple of chapters about Bran (in GoT that is)

I know there's the thing about Bran and Rickon dreaming about him in the cripts, but maybe it could be just they were missing him, like Osha said, and they were scared, so they dreamed about him dead, I know it's too much coicidence, and it's crazy, but it would be awesome if Ned appeared on the other continent, hidden for sometime, following some Varys advise to disappear

If this turned out true,
OR Jon turns into ice dragon,
OR stone dragon,
OR theres dragon under Winterfell,
OR secret portal to faerie (or whatever) under Winterfell,
I give up.

The only one's I believe they are alive is Ned (very unlikely, but would be awesome if Martin, of course, could make a good explanation about how he survived), and Aegon (and Jon, but this is known)

I used to believe Syrio was alive, but people convinced me he is dead

I don't believe Rhaegar is alive, I don't believe Robb is alive, or any other dead character (exeptions above)

I think it was a mistake to bring back Catelyn. I think the minute you start bringing back characters from the dead, the aspect of revenge and victory becomes too mirky and takes away from the core of the story.
Catelyn would be one of the last characters I would bring back and often wonder his rationale behind that. Is she an overly popular character, was that the reason?

She's more hated than loved, mainly by Jon's fans, like me for example, I would really like to have Robb's point of view than hers

I don't think there is any reason not to believe that Varys expected Ned to be sentenced to the Wall and seemed genuinely shocked when Joffrey ordered Ned's execution.

Two reasons why I think this theory is wrong:
1. Nobody but Joffrey knew that Ned was going to die, that was completely unplanned. So why would Varys try to save him when he was supposed to be safe in the first place?
2. Ned wouldn't hide for this long. He would try to save his children. There's no way he would just go along with some plan to keep himself safe without first making sure his family was safe.

His rationale was that he wanted to bring her back as a resurrected shell of her former self...it's not like he retconned her into becoming Stoneheart.

She becomes Stoneheart in the same book that Cat is "killed". If he didn't want to kill her off because she was an overly popular character he wouldn't have.

Killed off or just Catelyn becoming a more absolute character? I think it is more of Catelyn's true character than a shell of it. All the repression she holds for Ned and Jon, the resentment she has towards her sister and being outwitted by the Imp, the guilt and rage she herself holds over Ned's death and possibly the remorse for being overbearing toward Robb.
I still think Arya or Sansa could have filled that role rather than the whole zombie thing. To me it's just flogging a dead horse, pardon the pun. If she lasts til the end, I think it would just be overkill
