looks like ebooks are officially a strong market in of themselves now. Strange how Hunger games isn't on the list as I believe the above quote of 12million.

I'm sure EL James can cry into her millions when it comes to people hating her success.

I wonder how many digital copies exist via downloading? I'm sure that boosts ASOIAF if the TV show is anything to go by. Although a quick search suggests it's usually "how to" books/manuals that are the pirates favourite.

Looking at the percentages is also interesting. Based on a few reports, ebooks have reached 15% market penetration in the USA and about 10-11% in the UK. Quite impressive given they've only really hit the mainstream in the last couple of years, especially here in the UK.
