I thought the show improved on Ser Barristan's "screw you" to Joffrey ("even now I could cut through the five of you like carving a cake!"), but then cut off the last part of the line, that turned it into an ominous threat rather than an empty gesture. ("Perhaps Lord Stannis will sit on it when he takes your throne.")

I hate that quote. It doesn't really make sense. Jaime says it twice in that chapter and then proceeds to say that Brandon Stark was like him, contradicting himself.

Question: In that chapter Jaime says "I'm praised by one for a kindness I never did while reviled by many for what I consider to be my finest act."

What is thing he did where he is praised by one for a kindness he never did?
