BlackBrother55
Has anybody else noticed that Arya has way more chapters than any other POV in aCok? its getting pretty annoying. I mean, I thought she was an alright character in GoT, but now she just gets on my nerves. I pretty much hate her as a character now-shes too pompous and self righteous for me to like her. I just skip her chapters now. Anyway has anyone else gotten fed up with the amount of Arya chapters?
Sordelor
I didn't have any problems with them and there were more Tyrion chapters than Arya chapters.
protar
Arya chapters were my bane reading COK. I like her well enough but she can be so whiny. That, plus the uninteresting peasant characters and the endless travelogue made for a dull read imo.
Lady Nastja
Wow. I think I'm the only one who really enjoyed her chapters. The tales of the different smallfolk and towns, the adventures on the way...am I the only one that found these quite interesting? That said, it may just be because I adore Arya as a character. Queen Elsa
Arya is GRRMs second favorite character (Tyrion being the first), so I guess he really enjoys writing their chapters. POVs that involve magic, on the hand, are just so few. Since Arya is one of my favorite characters, I don't mind reading some of her boring adventures but I do agree to some of you that long and winding travelogues are tedious. AbareBlack
I enjoyed the Arya chapters myself. It was interesting to me, seeing her cut off from the other characters we knew and thrust into her own adventure.
wargalicious
I love Arya's chapters in ACOK. I think it is through them that we see the horrible effects of the War on the common folk of the riverlands. I adore these chapters and think they are essential to ACOK...(Daenerys' chapters are the ones that are a bit dull to me...)
The Mountain That Posts
Wow, this thread is awful. If you can't appreciate the Arya chapters in Clash, I don't know why you're even reading these books. SO much beautiful foreshadowing, so much character development, so much world development, so much blatant and beautiful description of exactly HOW "war is hell" to everyone who isn't a lord.Honestly, Arya's chapters in Clash are some of the best written chapters in the entire series, It's Arya's chapters in Feast and Dance that I hate. Sherlockian
Just wait until you get to ASoS. She has the most in that book but I find them to be 3x better than her CoK chapters.
Howie Manderly
Honestly I have never found a single chapter of any character in any asoiaf book to be boring. bring them on
silentwanderer
Has anybody else noticed that Arya has way more chapters than any other POV in aCok? I didn't have any problems with them and there were more Tyrion chapters than Arya chapters.Jon had more chapters too. Not to mention, Arya's POVs had more to do with Jaqen, Yoren and Gendry than the average "Dear Diary" experience of girls characters age.The show did cut about 80% of her journey in season 2: Arya went Gendry figuring out she was a girl to the Harrenhal torture chamber in only one episode. That Demon Monkey
Honestly I have never found a single chapter of any character in any asoiaf book to be boring. bring them onTHIS.You have to take a book as a whole. You can't go hating certain chapters or even skip certain chapter. Crazyness.

A Shaded Man
Nah, I wholly disagree. She is an important character has a great personality. Brash, Smart, and Vengeful. I think she is more interesting than majority of the characters we've met in the last two books. Come on, the way she outwitted jaqen and freed those soldiers (even though they would've been freed anyway) was awesome, plus her 'I want to kill' list is flat out awesome and sets her on her path (I think, havent read any of the other books yet) for future events. With George R. R. Martin every chapter is important!

Some people who read the books complain that this or that POV is a torture to read so they skip reading the chapter or read quickly then hate the character because of that. Like what That Demon Monkey said - Crazyness.

I don't know if that's better or worse, sometimes you get even more lost because you don't take due time to read a chapter than when you skip it completely: imagine what would've been of Ned's beheading if we would just read Arya's POVs real quick.
