I have heard that Janina Gavankar is supposed to be a part of Game of Thrones, so possibly she will play Arianne. I think that this would be great, as she is such a good actress, and it is likely as she worked with HBO on True Blood, so I think it's likely to be her.I think Penelope Cruz is unlikely to play her as 1) she is Spanish, and Dorne is not based on Spain, it is more Mediterranean/Persian, and 2) People think she is going to do the next Bond film which will probably be filmed during season 5 filming. She's slightly too old at 33 but given they've aged up everyone else that doesn't matter. And she certainly looks the part. Any source for her supposed to be on GoT? I did a quick google search and apparently she turned up at the s3 premiere but I got nothing else. EDIT: She isn't latin or hispanic either for the record, but she does look the part. If Dorne is based on anything, it is Spain; and the last time I looked at a map it was pretty much adjacent to the Mediterranean Sea. Um, honey, no. Do you even know Dorne? It's filled with deserts and sands, and Spain, chuck, is not. The beaches are, but in land is grassy and hard rock/mud. Just because the Mediterranean sea is close to Spain does not make it the same thing. Maybe the weather of Spain is similar to Dorne, and possibly the people. Dorne is more Moroccan (flamboyant culture for Muslims and monarchy still retains its power), and a more open minded Middle Eastern possibly, such as Saudi Arabia (minus their beliefs of course). Morocco and Spain may be close together and have a similar culture, but they are completely different landscape wise. Spain barely has deserts and Morocco is above the Sahara for god's sake. Anyway there is a big difference between someone who is mid twenties and someone who is heading to her mid thirties. They need to think about the fact that the series will go for at least 3-4 more years. so someone going from 25 to 28 not a big deal. from 33 to 36 could make a difference.
