Tried playing Arena, twice. Lost 3 times in a row twice. Watching Kripp here go on an infinite win Arena streak. Dude's pretty good.

Ok, good to know, i thought it was the single player campaign which made it so revered. i haven't even tried online, and don't think i will either.

yup, rangers work great against tanks. and sticky bombs too. but infantry units are bad when charging enemy territory, but that's reasonable.

but it may be the missions i have the biggest issue with. it feels like i'm just doing too similar things on the missions.

i was thinking of buying coh 2 or rome: total war, but i'm much more inclined to rome at the moment. is coh2 very similar to the first?

CoH2 is pretty similar to the original. The biggest difference is the 'Theatre of War' mode, which basically gives you a load of one-off missions to play without the context of an overall storyline (the overall storyline is again nothing more than 'ok'). This will be expanded over the coming months until it encompasses all five years of the war in the east.
