Ghost vs The Bastard's Bitches

Ghost would play games, with them. That's how I picture it. Moving in and out of shadows and taking one at a time out. Especially if it was night. "Ghost in the Darkness!" Could he be killed if all nine jumped him at once? Of course. Just think he would be smart about it.

Because dogs can't see a white wolf in the dark?

Ghost would win, but it would definitely not be as easy as some people make it out to be.

Ghost would destroy them, he's like Blackbolt that's why he doesn't speak. If he barks he could destroy the wall.

Ghost goes down to nine on one though. Even one of the great cats would have a problem with 9 well trained hunting dogs. And there your talking about a 500+ pound cat that is bigger, stronger, faster, more agile and has those nasty cat claws. A single blow from a lion can crash a human skull, large males have been known to kill Hyenas with a single hit. Ghost is a big wolf, very cool, but 60 pound pits have been known to bring down 180 Mastiffs with little effort.

Just want to say I don't condone any animal violence after pointing that fact out about pit fighting. I also don't blame the bitches for Ramsey who is in serious need of a painful death. Not really a fan of this topic, now Ghost versus an unarmed Ramsey. I can get on board with that topic.

GRRM is on record as acknowledging that his dire wolves are bigger than historic dire wolves. A historical dire wolf was about 20% larger than a modern grey wolf; while about the same height (2'-2 1/2' at the shoulder) it was heavier and had tremendous crushing power in its jaws, but lacked the speed if its smaller cousin.

Ghost is 5' tall at his shoulder. This makes him twice the height, and probably 2-3x the weight of a historic dire wolf. Ghost is a freaking monster. A historic dire wolf would be a pup in comparison.

If Ramsay's "wolf-killers" go against Ghost, or any of GRRM's version of dire wolves, they are toast considering the physical factors alone. Plain and simple. If a lion goes against Ghost, or any of GRRM's dire wolves, it's toast too. ASoIaF dire wolves are horses with claws and fangs, and that's before one considers their supernatural intelligence (probably a by-product of their bonds with the Stark kids).

By way of comparison, most wolf packs are about 5-7 members, with some going as high as 15 or so. Nymeria has hundreds of normal wolves in her pack. [1]. This should give a very clear indication of the personal power of GRRM's dire wolves, as compared to normal wolves.

[1] The largest wolf pack documented in the USA was about 37. Interestingly, however, is that in Russia they've documented a current "super pack" of about 400 wolves which is apparently slaughtering live stock. These wolves look smaller than what we're used to, however, and as they primarily fed off of rabbits I suspect they're closer to coyotes in size.

Ghost wins. He's silent, huge, and camouflaged up in the North. His sense of smell isn't as strong as a hound's, but it's near enough that it wouldn't make a difference. Plus, they couldn't follow him into the bitter cold very long.

IIRC, Ramsey said he was training them to handle wolves. It's not clear how good their training was yet.

I've long felt that Ramsey and his bitches, and perhaps a few of his human friends, will find themselves trudging through the snow back to Hornwood when they run into Nymeria and her pack. Nymeria alone might go down under the weight of 9; even Arya won't contribute enough skill to shift the balance yet. But pack vs. pack... the dogs will lead, and will be overwhelmed, and then Ramsey's boys, and then Ramsey himself will be shocked when his throat gets ripped out.

Hmmm. If we accept these figures, Nymeria, or Ghost, alone might be worth 9 or more semi-trained dogs. And with 100 fellow pack members, that's a wolf army.

I REALLY want to see that fight.

Hunting dogs could take on bears in packs, and no way Ghost is bigger than a bear, remember Ghost mom was killed by a stag, so they are certainly not superbeasts.

If the bitches dont surrender to Ghost via killing the pack leader ill go for the bitches.
