once for blood and once for gold and once for love.

So any theroies, I'm thinking Daario will be the love betrayel, not sure on the gold & i think the once for blood may be one of her dargons.

Sure this has been brought up before but could'nt find a exact thread, so whats everyones theories on this?

Blood = MMD seems likely.

Gold is pretty much up in the air

Love goes back to a pet theory of mine I'm mulling over at the moment (but haven't made a thread about yet):

The Great Daenerys Love Convergence

Basically and the short version, as all the "three things will happen" triples end in a reference love, I assume that they all converge to the same event, a fiery betrayal for love mirroring AA stabbing NN to set Lightbringer on fire.

(Yes, the main purpose of the name is to enjoy people's expression of utter cringing)

Why would that be a betrayel of blood?

i thought the same for brown ben plumm but he justy seems such minor a charcter for it to be significant enough for prophecy

Because she is betraying her for her people and for the dozens upon dozens of Ghiscari that Dany has killed

I agree about Ben, though, I think it should be someone more important

Mirri betrayed her for the blood of her people.

Brown Ben betrayed her for gold, but nobody is sure if this is the actual betrayal.

Once for love. May not of happened yet. The citadel has this topic covered. Go to citadel prophecies if you want more info on the prophecies, it's run by Ran who has the inside track with Martin.

i can see why it fits to a certain extent, but surly the prophecy's relate to future events.............thats what a prophecy is after all!

The attempted assassination is also a treason. Mormont swore himself to her and betrayed her that was a treason.

The 3 fires prohpecy seems to take place in past present and future.

3 heads has the dragon

3 fires must you light One for life (dragons), one for death, and one for love

3 Mounts must you ride one to bed (Drogo), one to dread (drogon) and one for love

3 Treasons will you know once for blood (Miri), and once for gold (Ben), and once for love.

Love being the last to be fulfilled is the future.

All the fist parts take place in the past with the Dothraki the first part of her Journey

The middle prophecies seem to all revolve around the events of Meereen. Though that part is not over yet so Ben may not be the treason, it could be Darrio, or something else. If I had to guess the Fire for Death will either happen in the dry Dothraki sea, or when she returns to Meereen it will be plauge ridden.

The last part is the future so I can't answer the question. George once again playing with Aspects of 3.

It irritates me that Jorah has betrayed her but doesn't fit. He could still betray her for love eg do something she doesn't know about 'for her own good' and have it backfire

Was the fire for death in Astapor? She burnt the city down (death) to get an army (for more death).

So is her setting lightbringer on fire the fire she lights for her death? Or for love? Both? and is it a treason for love? Or even treason for her blood to temper lightbringer?

A really nice theory, and I like it. It seems to fit with parts of this prophesy, but what parts exactly :dunno:

Just a note that the third fire is a fire TO love, not for love. So it's for life, for death and to love. Which dovetails nicely with my idea that she's going to end up digging the flames a little too much.

The treasons in particular are interesting for a few reasons.

1. There is no way she is only getting betrayed three times. But these are ones that she'll "know," so does that mean she'll be aware of these but completely miss out on who knows how many others?

2. This thread just shows how many different variations there are already. Ask ten people and you can end up with ten different combinations. So is it going to be clear to us which treasons actually "count," or will we still be debating this?

3. Are these treasons committed against Dany, or treasons that she commits herself?
