Cersei Lannister and the more beautiful queen.

Ok , so the whole Maggy the Frog prophecy about the more beautiful queen taking everything away from Cersei has me pondering on the possibilities on who it could be. Now there's Margaery Tyrell , who is a bit to obvious for me but definitely a possibility. Then there's Dany who I believe is the more popular choice , but I would love it to be Sansa , but the question is what would she become queen of? The North? , The Vale?

Any thoughts on who the more beautiful queen could be? , and how you came to that conclusion :)

Considering that the word "queen" is never actually used and that the prophecy hints at some sort of personal vendetta involved (i.e. it wouldn't be Dany), I'm leaning toward Sansa or Cersei herself in her younger days -- when she made the choices that would lead to her own downfall. It seems much more fitting to me that Cersei is ultimately responsible for her own demise through her own choices. But if it's not Cersei herself, it's Sansa.

The prophecy is telling Cersei that she will be queen, until she is replaced by someone "younger and more beautiful". The only female character who could currently replace Cersei as queen is Daenerys, as she would replace the Baratheon dynasty. Margaery, unless she re-marries, could not replace Cersei as queen, because she is queen due to her marriage to Tommen.

It could be Arianne if she marries Aegon... but then Cersei would be queen until there comes a king. So Aegon would be the one taking all she holds dear, not Arianne.

I really don't buy the Sansa theory (even though she was my first guess on my first read of AFfC). She has motive, but how exactly would it be possible? The only way she could replace Cersei as queen would be if she either married another king (although, again, I think the queen has to be doing it in her own right), or claimed the Iron Throne herself. And she'd also have to show an interest in vengeance, something which would be unusual for her character (and unwelcome - as a fan of hers, I'd hate to see her becoming consumed by vengeance like so many other characters in this series).

So my pick is Dany. Like the mummer's show Cersei was told about in AFfC, the lion will be defeated by the dragon which appears without warning.

I liked the "younger Cersei" theory, think it would be pretty fitting.

Otherwise, i believe it would be Sansa, either because "another" doesn't mean "another queen", or at least "another Iron Throne queen", or because she will have some contact with F(Aegon), even a queen for a day is still a queen.

Maggy doesn't say the more beautiful Queen, she says "then another", so I think the beautiful person doesn't have to be a Queen. I think it's Sansa.

rolling with this, just for fun :D

she also just says "the valonqar"

without specification so it could be another younger brother maybe loras ?

PS: i think it's jamie but as i said just for fun :D

You are taking "replaced" too literally. I don't think it's Margaery either, but I wouldn't try to disprove it like that. She has already "replaced" Cersei in that sense the moment she married Tommen as "wife of the current king". But it can also mean "replacing" her power and influence, and that seems to be about to happen very soon.

No, I'm really not taking it too literally. Look at the wording: "Queen you shall be... until there comes another..." Whoever the "another" is, once s/he comes Cersei will stop being the queen.

By that logic she already has stopped being the queen. Actually, she stopped being the queen when Robert died, until Joffreys takes a wife the position "queen" is vacant.

Since then she is "queen regent", and it's debateable if she still has that position after ADwD. If you see "queen regent" as her "status", though, anyone who takes the power of ruling in the King's stead "replaces" her.

Cersei is the queen dowager. She will continue to be the queen dowager until the Baratheon dynasty is replaced.
