Lord Varys
Rhaenys, Daeron I would have been named after Daenaera's father, Daeron Velaryon, not her mother. Nothing suggests that Elaena was named after anyone in particular besides the daughter of Gaemon the Glorious and Daenys the Dreamer.
Rhaenys_Targaryen
LV,Yeah, I meant father, as has been in the OP for a while.... I was tired last night. No, we have nothing to suggest that Elaena was named after a specific person, but the other four names show a fun pattern, so it might apply to Elaena as well. A close relative of Daenaera, perhaps..
Lord Varys
Could be. Another idea that has just sprung into my mind is that the historical Elaena may have had the same kind of special Valyrian hair Elaena had, explaining why Aegon III would suddenly name his youngest daughter after a very distant ancestor.
