theBigPicture Posted September 24, 2013 Share Posted September 24, 2013 I was reading about the battle of Hastings and found out that after William the Conqueror defeated Harold, he put second in charge Odo,who was named Earl of Kent and also, who was William's half-brother.I wonder if GRRM was inspired from Odo when he wrote about Orys, the half brother of Aegon the Conqueror who became Lord of the Stormlands.
