    Oh, and one more thing!
What's with the achievements? Since when was this introduced on PC? Is it a Blizzard thing only (Battlenet) or do other companies do this as well?
I admit, I haven't played games on the PC for years now, I only play on my PS3 these days.
Don't know if I like it really. On the one hand it's fun with challenges and I'm a sucker for them, but on the other hand it sometimes stresses me out that there are achievements that I haven't gotten yet.
    What do you guys think?

I'm also loving this game! Well worth waiting for! I'm about 8-9 missions in so far.
At first I was very surprised and sceptic when I saw the between-missions stuff, but I soon started appreciating it. Researching in the Lab is fun and buying upgrades in the Armory too. However, I wonder what that will be like in the multiplayer (haven't tried it yet)? All those upgrades, will they be standard or removed when you play online?
I'm so happy Blizzard decided to release the Terran campaign first, since they are my favorite (only) race to play!

Triskele, a lot of the stuff about the Liberals and Conservatives went over my head too. I think that you need some knowledge about Colombian history to understand it.
The solitude thing could also be about the town I guess. It was pretty secluded in the mountains. Once it was discovered (by the banana company) it was ruined and then cast into solitude again.
Then there are all the Aurelianos who seclude themselves in that little room and try to decipher the scrolls...

I'll vote for The Idiot and City of Thieves
  5. In Topic: Gene Wolfe

Roland, I'd read Sorcerer's House if I were you and then continue with Long, Short Sun. Here's the thread about it and my thoughts on it.

Recent purchases I have made from/about Gene Wolfe:
    Castle of Days
    Shadows of the New Sun
    Lexicon Urthus
    Best of Gene Wolfe

I'll probably read Castle of Days and Best of first and then (when I have the time) do a complete re-read of the Solar Cycle together with Lexicon and Shadows. Phew!
