I stumbled upon the works of Walter Moers while looking for new things to read at the library...so I'm now starting The 13 1/2 Lives of Captain Bluebear...

Star Trek: I miss Hemmer (spoilers)

And for some reason they want to make an "origin" movie set in the Kelvin Timeline...ignoring the fact that the timeline diverges at the time of Kirk's birth, not back when the Federation was founded. But they'll leave the Legacy show idea sitting in limbo... Truly Paramount needs me to run their Trek arm... -
Soooo...to try something different, I've actually chose to read the second book after listening to the first. The Philosopher's War by Tom Miller, who because I'm reading the physical copy, I've come to realize is from (originally) the very town I live in now in Wisconsin...

My gods, X-Men '97 is going at a pace that defies all logic, throwing together and combining and condensing some of the X-Men's best storylines, plus adding its own twists to them...and then Episode 5 lands. That was what you're supposed to get at the end of a season. But this was Episode 5. Five. Just wow. How do they even keep this up?

Star Wars: Far Far Away From What You Want It To Be
Jaxom 1974 replied to SpaceChampion's topic in Entertainment
Wholly agree. I think there's been only one really clunker of an episode during Season of Bad Batch. But with just two episodes remaining, I'm not sure how they're going to land this with the constraints of existing canon... I also still expect that the elite tracking Storm Troooper who's been hunting Omega will turn out to be -
Fixed that for you. Let's not let Liefeld get away with too much altruism/common sense...

Wouldn't a Black Panther movie with an all white cast, excepting the token black CIA agent, be just such an interesting thing...or something...a modern take on just about anything else ever...

Mitch McConnel: American Savior? Nothing said by this guy should ever be taken at face value. And it's easy to say that Thune or Cornyn aren't going to want to leave NATO or they might try to check Trump, but history has already shown that Republicans, en masse, regardless of private statements, have no interest in preventing Trump from running roughshod over laws or the Constitution. If he is in office and says, "NATO is on their own", then how in the world can anyone think Republicans, if they control Congress, is going to tell him no? Or once Trump sends his DOJ to arrest/remove people on a whim? The guy continues to violate a legal gag order and no one says boo. He posts, on his social media, an image of the sitting President hog tied and dead, and not a single Republican has said anything that indicates they think he should be held to the extent of the law that anyone else would be...
