  1. If you want to sound all hipster and cool, read the books first. What I did was I watched the first two episodes and than I was like, I have to read these books. But the books are big so I got inpatient and kinda watched and read at the same time. If I had to do it over again I would personally read the first book and than watch the first season and than read the second book and than the second season and so on.    My advice is if you decide to read the books first is to keep track of characters. write down characters that are the important ones and a little but about them so that they will sink into your brain. I could write a quick character guide if you would like. Just the super basics.
  2. Still worth it?

if I have three wishes one would be that I could travle back in time so that I could read Game of Thrones before the show came out and play League of Legends when it very first came out = )
  3. Still worth it?

I think that it is always worth reading the books even if you have seen the show. But in total honesty I would say that you could skip the first book if you have seen Season one because they did a pretty kick butt job with the keeping the first season spot on with the book. So I personally would say that you should read all of the books but if you do want to skip than I would suggest only skipping the first one.
  4. [Poll] How would you rate episode 508?

This episode gave me hope for the rest of the season! Episode 7 was a real joke to me. It was so disconnected and dull and I was not impressed in anyway. My mouth was hanging open for all of episode 8, extremely impressed and I am excited for episode 9 because we all know the reputation it needs to uphold.

  7. I think that for you first read through just straight up read it just to get the characters down and plot. I think that slow reading and analyzing on the first read will kill ya, in my opinion. These books are meant to be reread and I think that on your second go through you should slow down and get the tiny details. On your first read through either refer to the appendix in the back or keep a note card nearby and make little family trees.
