  1. What, and a Clash of Kings being partly inspired by Robb? I don't think the name has much to do with anything, besides, a Feast for Crows is just a metaphor for killing. And Aeron drinking juju juice and making him so vividly and obviously hallucinate about Euron is way too obvious for Martin. He never hints at something so bluntly like that.
  2. Ditto that. He's such an over-the-top character. Too obvious of a villain and he's like something out of a trashy fantasy novel (the kind with bad cover art that you're mortified to show anyone). That's why I think this whole situation is a farce. People are talking about Cthulhu and sea dragons and Euron using some crazy magic to shatter the Reach and magic horns, but I think GRRM is setting him up for an epic fail. He might beat Redwyne to keep the illusion up, and then once he hits Oldtown he's dead meat. He loves to pull the rug from under us, so I doubt Euron is going to end up achieving all that much other than distracting everyone from Young Griff and Connington. Victarion is the important one, the one with the horn and the ships to reach Dany. Aeron and Euron are likely there to die and shatter the spirit of the Ironborn, thus making it more likely for the remnants to accept disgraces like Theon or Asha as leaders.
  3. Does anyone else think that Euron is a load of talk and nothing else? I can see him beating Paxter's fleet, but I think he'll meet his end at Oldtown. His fancy armour doesn't help much if someone shoots him in the eye (Samwell). And despite Moqorro's words, nothing hints at him having to be a major force in the series. He's prominent in the vision there, yes, but Victarion has the ships. I think he's a false flag, a red herring. I don't think GRRM will introduce any new dragons or anything into the series this late in the game. He won't go up to the wall either, it's a ridiculous nothing at this point. I think he's delusional. Drunk on the black oily Kool-Aid. His open defiance to the Gods I think and Aeron's vehement condemnation towards him probably spells his end. Not that the Gods have to be real, but GRRM is very ambiguous as to their nature and this type of open defiance I don't see lasting for too much longer, if only to keep the mystery alive. And even more so, the bold imagery of him sitting on the Iron Throne is way too on the nose and upfront for GRRM. He obscures things and has subtlety. I think he is as mad as everyone suggests and he won't amount to a whole lot in the end. He'll certainly cause some damage, and he's quite a keen strategist all things considered, but nothing more. I think he beats Paxter and the battle is bloody. He tries to besiege Oldtown from there. Aegon and Jon Con beat Tarly and march over to Oldtown and they crush Euron in between them. As for Falia, I didn't like her at first because of her celebrating what happened to her family. Now it's more clear she was mistreated by them and hated them. And her situation must have been desperate enough that Euron seemed like a saviour to her. Also, Euron confirmed for child molester?
  4. This makes me even more sad YG won't be in the series. I'd so root for him. You haven't read the books then. A hard man yes. A cold one, yes. But evil? That's foolish to say.
  5. Seriously though, Doran. What the hell? Not really, I mean Roose recgonizes that Ramsay would kill any son he has with Walda.
  6. Yeah, the Boltons are still far worse than Stannis at this point, charming as Roose is at times. But my God, what did they do to Doran? I mean... he has the patience of a saint in the books and then there was... this.
  7. I'll never understand the boner these writers have for Ramsay. They go out of their way to make him stronger, smarter, and just overall more 'badass' than he is. Even in his depravity they glorify him. Though regardless, I smell doom in his future anyways. Compared to Mel and Stannis, he isn't exactly much.
  8. Bleh. I hope to God they aren't trying to make Ramsay out as another 'badass' again. You go up against Stannis, you get destroyed. Piss off Ramsay.
  9. Well Theon will help Sansa at some point, otherwise all this pleading and such serves no purpose.
  10. The bastard (that he never knew) of a brother (that he he never loved) can't be equated to his own flesh and blood daughter.
  11. I'd give it a solid 8. Mostly on account of Jonathan Pryce as the High Sparrow. He nailed it. And more Jorah actions scenes are always a good thing.
