  1. Favorite Characters Daenerys Targaryen Daemon (from the rogue prince) Targaryen Aemon Targaryen Aegon I (conqueror) Barristan Selmy Drogon and Balerion (Drogon is the reincarnation of Balerion) Jon Connington Marwyn
  2. Skahaz is loyal to Dany and that makes me like him also. It is Reznak's loyalty that is in question.
  3. We the men of the Watch have executed Jon with our daggers. Dany and Drogon will have to dispatch the remaining Starks.
  4. The same thing that happened to Catelyn will happen to Arya. Jon's death will have the same effect on Arya as did the death of Robb to Catelyn. First, the rage and the madness. Then Arya will kill an innocent bystander and then her own death will quickly follow. The Others will bring back an incomplete Arya just like Beric has done to Catelyn.
  5. She is the discomfort added to the plot. Arya is very polarizing. Most hate or love and little in between when it comes to Arya. We read about the ugly side of revenge after it has corrupted the heart through Arya.
  6. Qaithe needed to prove to herself that Daenerys Targaryen is not a dream. She must have seen Daenerys in her dreams many times and could only dare to hope she comes true. It was one of those "am I dreaming?" moment for Qiaithe.
  7. The weirwoods and the direwolves would need to disappear. Bran too.
  8. Jon Snow by every measure looked insane from where I stood. I had to execute him for the survival of the nights' watch. It gave me no pleasure but he left me with no other choice.
  9. It sure looked that way, My Lady. We were still recovering from the trauma of Slynt's execution when our late Commander unloaded more shocking revelations during the meeting. It was a crime to let Mance Rayder go without punishment. The man was a deserter and a traitor to our Order. He led an attack on the wall and killed many of our own. The Commander sends him on a treasonous errand to hide his sister from the Boltons. Then builds himself a Wildling war party for the purpose of attacking the Boltons. No sane brother of the watch would even contemplate such treason. It debased our Order.
  10. @H Wadsworth Longfellow This murderous little girl is what Lord Commander Snow betrayed the watch for. What a tragic comedy.
  11. Jon is an incompetent with a bad temper. Even that fool Robb Stark is a better leader than Jon. There are several young people coming of age who are positioned to lead or rule in the future. Daenerys Targaryen is the best of that lot. Daenerys has the courage, intelligence, lineage, and skills to become the best ruler possible for a new great dawn empire.
  12. Permanent imprisonment is not warranted in the real world but allowing Arya to stay free and only report to counseling twice a week is not punishment. Real world will have her confined in a mental hospital for ten years and kept under observations. Therapy will be prescribed. Her youth and remorse would ensure she is released in ten years. The Braavosi would put her in a stone cell and she will be forgotten.
  13. I don't mind so much what he did to Bran. It led to the War of the Five Kings and weakened Westeros but that war was coming anyway because the Baratheons mismanaged the kingdom. I hate Jaime for what he did to Aerys and the Targaryens.
  14. That will change. Sansa is drawn to power and those who can elevate her social status. As I said, she is selfish.
  15. Hardyng will promise to marry her if she would murder Robert Arryn. Sansa will do it.
  16. Rhaegar Frey accompanied Ser Jared to the Manderly's. He was one of the victims of Manderly revenge. It is possible but that is not what happened. Rhaegar Frey was murdered. And eaten by the jolly fat guy.
  17. What a wonderful section of the book. Daenerys at the House Of The Undying is one of my favorite point of view chapters in the whole series. The reason to have this hearing is the existence of a state of impasse where neither side can kill the other. Frey and Stark, neither are strong enough to kill the other family. A lengthy trial will take place in which both sides will get to present their grievance. It ends with the execution of those who were directly involved in the red wedding but Daenerys will not punish the rest of the Freys. The judgment will be correct. The Starks will not be happy because they want to kill the Frey family. We know that is not justice and Daenerys will not allow it. I am hopeful that justice will be served in this trial as long as the Starks are kept in check.
  18. The first post pretty much proved that Dany is Azor Ahai. It has nothing to do with worshiping the character. I do like Dany a lot and would have liked her even if she was not Azor Ahai.
  19. Azor Ahai and her dragons will usher in the new dawn after the ice has receded. The wights can be burned away as we saw in the Trident vision. This army of ice will consists of wightified northern people led by a Stark. So yes, it will be a fight between the fire of the dragons and their allies against the ice of the Starks and the White Walkers.
  20. Lightbringer has qualities which reminds me of Bilbo's dagger, sting. She is Azor Ahai and the candles are lit because of the White Walkers.
  21. I have not seen the movie you linked to. I believe my example stands because it is very hard to sell Rhllor to the north. Rhllor is an attractive religion to the slaves but it will not appeal to those who worship the Old gods. Even the name sounds foreign.
  22. Azor Ahai is an Eastern legend. This AA was a leader of people during the long night. He was never in the west. Mellisandre will fail in her mission to sell him to the north of Westeros. I saw a movie called At Play in the Fields of the Lord. It is about protestant christian missionaries attempting to bring Jesus to an isolated tribe in the Amazon. A wiser man is the Catholic priest who said "Christ will never be accepted here. A pale man from a desert country where it never rains". Totally different setting from the rainforest. The tribe could never understand. Will never understand. I think it's the same case with Mellisandre and the followers of the Old Gods. AA comes from a far away land with different realities. A handful of other heroes will use those candles in westeros if they are really swords. It won't be AA. AA will face her battles in the east and will not arrive in westeros until after the end of winter.
  23. 10, loved that final scene at Daznak's Pit with Dany and Drogon
