  1. That battle scene was epic and better done then a ton of action movies. I really liked this episode overall though dany and jons bend the knee thing is annoying.
  2. dianna rig is one of the top 3 actors in the show's history. I loved how they made olenna have a bigger role in the show then she did in the books. I agree people hated the sand snakes but they way it was done was truly well done by the writers and lena killed that scene. She showed just enough vulnerability to show she loved her daughter and make me feel it but the rest was pure and brilliant revenge.
  3. that's my point though. Until she wins her claim it doesn't mean much. The people who joined her didn't join her because she was the rightful ruler but because dorne needed dany to win otherwise they would die and olenna joined for vengence pure and simple
  4. not officiaclly but everyone knew it and excepted it but by that time the tyrells had joined the lannisters and the battle of blackwater had been won and stannis had pretty much lost at that point. Also in both the books and the show dany is never given a crown by her brother. In fact that is specifically mentioned in the books. And by people calling aegon a usurper I meant at the time he conquered.
  5. okay here is the difference. Dany's family LOST THE THRONE before she was even born. She considers the man who took the throne a usuper and I understand why she thinks that but in reality then wasn't aegon the conqueror a usuper when he conquered the seven kingdoms.(well six since he didn't get dorne). Stannis was the rightful heir since his brother was sitting on the throne when he died and had no trueborn children. Stannis was a member of the current ruling dynasty and as such had a right to the north. And dany not recognizing that robert was king doesn't mean she is right.
  6. so then how can jon be in open rebeliion against her. If her birth right was real then she would be in line for the throne like a son of someone sitting on the throne or some family member. Jon has more of a right to the north thenshe does to westero's at the moment since bran will let it pass by him.
  7. When you flee your country and lose the throne for twenty years then tell me why she gets to claim it. Should whoever was on the throne just get off now (even if it was a good king or queen). And dany's only allies were dorne and the tyrells. the dornish joined for survival and olenna joined so she could get vengence. So where are those loyalist at. Robert had a deep hatred of the targs and it blinded him. Dany would not have been a threat if robert hadn't tried to kill her. Khal drogo would never have been willing to cross the sea otherwise
  8. Yes but aegon conquered the seven kingdoms and thus began the targ's "birth right" and yet it has been twenty years in the books probably since any targ (except aemon and jon who noone but ned knew was a targ) set foot in westeros. Robert and ned smashed the targ dynasty and ended it. So dany's line is done when it comes to birth rights. And if you want to get more into it then bran would has a right to be king of the north and since we know he would refuse it then it would go to jon. So given that torren stark or whatever his name was bent the knee to aegon targ and the targ's no longer rule westeros then jon has a better claim to be king of the north then dany does for the entire seven kingdoms.
  9. So when dany said the last king of the north was torren or something like that and he bent the knee he could have easily said. Jon-Actually my brother rob was and he never bent the knee
  10. well the kingsmoot hadn't been done in a thousand years in the show they might not have mentioned it. Also I wanted him to press her on her "claim". Jon-so you have a claim because your father was king. dany-yeah. Jon-and he had the right because his father was king. Dany-Yeah. Jon-So what right did aegon the conqueror have? Dany-he...uh. Jon- (dons a smug smile) Thought so. Also jon did remind her.
  11. please be 3 please be 3. It would be unpredictable and show he is actually human. I mean he has essentially sacrificed everything for her and she sleeps with euron as a reward. Oh I really hope this happens.
  12. aemon didn't go to the nights watch until after he was offered the crown. I don't think it will be a big deal after a few minutes. I mean given how bran is I wouldn't want him leading anyway. I don't think it will be adressed at least.
  13. yes but not doing it in their city and getting money for something that will happen anyways somewhere else is a very different thing. How often do people and organizations go with something that they loathe and wouldn't want on their soil yet still work with when it means they can make a ton of money. The slave trade is pure evil but from a financial stand point it is incredibly profitable. And the iron bank is in the end a financial institution
  14. Oh I know she won't get rid of tyrion but so far his council has gotten her screwed over badly. And given that they don't even want her to use the dragons going to get the unsullied using their advice would be impossible. It only takes one arrow they said. Then put her in heavy armor people
  15. maester aemon refused the crown and his brother took the iron throne. If someone refuses it they don't have to take it. Also I have a feeling that given dany's current situation and the previews that we saw for next week that she may be more accepting of a king of the north
  16. To be fair I think it was more about her just needing space to go cry. I don't think she was purposly giving him the cold shoulder though. I really hated that scene to be honest.
  17. Bran essentially said he wasn't gonna be lord of winterfell or anything. And jon is king of the north not warden of the north. Also I think part of the reason that they don't do the procedure that sam did is because they are afraid of it spreading, Still it was really cool to see how sam has progressed. I am really loving his eye thing we see this season like when jorah asks him if he has ever done this before. Also tyrion has essentially lost every one of dany's westerosi allies and put the unsullied in a very bad place. Cersei has been insane for a while now. I loved how olenna said that to jaime and then said he isn't in control anymore and we saw how he knows it
  18. Now it's the one that they used on marcella. To be fair it is a very brutal thing to do and that scene was great partially because they didn't waste time doing a torture scene. But she essentially has to watch her daughter die and then stay there with her body as it rots.
  19. I am waiting for dany to lose it with tyrion. I love him but damn in his brilliant plan he has essentially lost her every one of her westerosi allies and now makes dany so weak that given the promo's she will need jon snow to help and thus he now has a massive amount of leverage. Although seeing dany get taken down a notch would be nice she is way too arrogant this season. So I have a feeling tyrion is about to be told to STFU whenever he advises her. And what the hell were tyrion and missandai thinking with that whole "you can't ride the dragons" I'm sorry but the dragons need to have her ride if she intends to use them.
  20. I loved how olenna played that. She made sure she drank it all and then paused for a second then told him everything. I really wish she had told jaime how little finger was a part of it. Loved how they did the end of the sand snakes. They didn't make us watch torture yet it was so brutal. This was my favorite episode this season too. And I really hope dany asks him about the knife in the heart thing. I understood why they made bran so weird with his demanor and stuff but I agree WTF did he mention sansa being raped and tortured by ramsey for. He could have just as easily said..well anything even that he knows littlefinger killed their aunt or other stuff instead he goes with the worst thing possible.
  21. I think she used her brain and let jaime and his guys plan the military stuff. Also jaime brought the tarly's to their side not cersei. It seems like oh I don't know maybe jaime should be the freaking king instead of cersei. Also I think the iron bank is playing cersei like a fiddle. Dany is obviously the one who anyone would bet on so why not get what gold they can from cersei while she is still around. It wouldn't suprise me if vary's or someone plotted with the IBB for this reason. By the IBB taking so much gold from cersei at such a crucial time they are weakening her they will likely quicken her demise which means peace and peace is great for business
  22. I don't think there are any tyrells left. That's why olenna just wants vengence. There is no point in trying to further her house since it will die with her. And I agree they are painting over what cersei did. She essentially just destroyed the most holy place for the main religion in the country with the exception of the wall. And killed several families as well. Not to mention how many people that were around there who died. This is beyond annoying. Hot pie mentioned it but that's it. And randyl tarley all of a sudden deciding to join the people who massacred his liege lord.
