  1. "It's true...all of it." I take Han Solo at his word. STAR WARS IS TRUE!

And if not true, at the very least it is awesome, which is close enough in my book.

  2. Count me as part of the majority.

  3. If people had similar experiences as me, it is likely due to the site being down until just recently. There was so much traffic no one could post.
  4. At first I was upset about the House of the Undying and how much was left out. But after a lot of thought, it totally makes sense. Why? Because for a casual viewer it will make no sense and not be remembered at all. For book readers, we can fill it in with our imaginations. It would have been confusing and ultimately served no purpose other than as a bone to us book fans. Made the episode work much better. A lot of things we'd like to see would probably make the show not work as well. Theon's scene with his speech was amazing. Sure there will be some grumbling about no Reek, etc. But ultimately this show has so many characters that it isn't worth adding him in when the upcoming stuff can easily be rewritten and make sense without him. Loved the dragon's fire, love Brienne fighting the Stark men and Jaime's reaction to her skills. Though that the end was great with the three blasts. Really liked how the Others looked.
  5. Tyrion had commissioned all the blacksmiths in KL to forge great chain links. He then hid the chain beneath the mouth of the Blackwater, with two large towers on either side. Once most of Stannis ships were past the chain, it was raised to keep them from escaping into the bay when the wildfire was let loose. In the books it wasn't a ship loaded with wildfire, the royal fleet was still there and fighting (to lure Stannis' fleet in), and then pots of wildfire were thrown from the battlements. The chain was instrumental in keeping any ships (but a few) from escaping EDIT: Ckal beat me to it.
  6. I really enjoyed the Renly and Margaery scene. I think it sets up her character in a great way, showing that she really understands "the game". Tyrion and the small council members was great as well. Not sure I have much in the way of complaints. Some things were definitely changed due to budget, which while frustrating are also understandable.
  7. Quite an interesting first day on the job with an entirely expected gift of new district maps, but ones that unexpectedly seem decent for the DFL.

  8. I'm not even quite in West Virginia yet, but already everyone sounds like Jaime Tincher.

  9. George did comment at the end of the reading that not a lot happened in the chapter, so it is something he realized. I don't know if that means he is looking to change it up or not. I didn't feel it would be in good taste to ask that at dinner or over the course of the evening. Otherwise The Mastiff did an impressive job of writing up the reading. In fact, there are things in the write up that I don't remember from listening, so I definitely don't have anything to add to this. I blame a long night drinking the evening before for my lack of attentiveness and memory.
  10. I only supported #HCR because I thought I'd get to sit on a death panel. Found out today I am not. Very disappointed.
