I'm super excited for our Christmas meals. We'll make tourtiere for Christmas Eve and MC has been dry aging rib roast in the fridge, which we'll have Christmas Day. Also on the menu is creamed kale and smashed potatoes and I'm making a meyer lemon tart.

I had my first ever facial today. Getting my eyebrows threaded was the main impetus for booking a salon appointment and I figured to make the half hour train ride worth it. I got off to an awkward start when I couldn't figure out how I was supposed to wear the terry wrap that looks like a skirt - I'm having a facial done so what level of undress is needed? After a few questions it was sorted and I was on my way to steamy bliss. Extractions aside (ow) it was super relaxing and enjoyable. My skin is excellent I'm told, though a little dehydrated with some sensitivity and redness. I went home with a reasonably priced calming serum from Skinceuticals. Overall, me likey. I'll look to book another appointment in 8 weeks.

Skipping past the Avs winning (Joe Sakic 4 Eva), I'm watching the E60 Unrivaled doc on the Avs and Wings rivalry and holy cow, the nostalgia for me! And the unbearable sadness of the limousine accident and Vladimir Konstantinov.

I don't think they eat Van, at all. But it will certainly escalate whatever is going on with Tai. Also, Tai had taken the bone thing off Van. It was the first thing I noticed when she came to in the tree. I am more and more convinced they never turned to cannibalism but instead sacrificed/spilled blood for the 'spirit' or whatever Lottie sees and hears and she will ultimately be our antler queen. Good call on MC's part re: Jeff.

MC thinks Jeff is the 50K blackmailer, as his going out to 'work' aligns with the pickup time. Also Shauna didn't get a postcard. No less possible than any else happening. Guess we'll find out.

I watched the pilot the weekend it premiered on the Roku channel that let's you preview stuff for free. I was hooked from go and immediately subscribed to Showtime. I very much hope there isn't a supernatural aspect but instead is just a story of teenage girls going feral in a bigger way than LotF ever did. At any rate, we are thoroughly enjoying it. MC suggested Adam was Javier as well. I also think Jackie survived to adulthood but I guess we'll see.

There were a lot of clever and poignant things this season. There was also the dumbest episode ever. And a lot of horses. Submit to the Crow Horse.
