  1. Yeah, there is an element here of who's teaching. Darwin has the bonus of being in a clearly defined system with a very good manager, whereas Jackson ... is at Chelsea. It would be interesting to have Jackson in another team where he had a clearer system and better management, to see if that would help him with the issues you mention. Have to admit I've watched less of Chelsea than of Liverpool, so I might be very wrong. And yes, if there's something you can't fault Darwin for, it's his effort and energy. He'll chase absolutely everything, at top speed.
  2. Jackson, like Darwin (well, more than Darwin, really) will become an elite striker if and when he starts hitting the net. Given how he plays, it might be an idea for Chelsea to do a Joelinton with him and turn him into a winger. I mean, nobody would miss Mudryk on the left..
  3. Well, as we all know, VAR is a Luton fan, so ... No, I have no idea what it means.
  4. I'm sure Samuele Allardici could be tempted to take a job, as long as it's up to his high standards.
  5. I'll have to agree on Tate, and it's mystifying how Forest and us have been deducted points, but nobody deducts points from Luton because of that scumbag.
  6. I'd be irritated if we'd had all those three almost-calls go against us (and given it's Ashley Young in all three, I'd probably be livid). So I can't really be mad at Forest for being mad. Maybe not blame Luton, though. The poorest club in the PL isn't likely to be the one bribing VAR.
  7. We win. We're five points above Luton, who have four games to go. I'm happy-ish.
  8. TV cameras filming everywhere else for four minutes sort of indicates this is serious. On the footballing side - McNeill scoring that is improbable, sure, but Gana scoring is impossible. I've never seen him hit the target from outside the box before.
  9. I don't for a second believe Trossard aimed where he hit that. It still is a stunning goal.
  10. If there ever was a comment to underscore just how insecure Donald Trump is.. Since it might be paywalled, it says:
  11. I have decided this game isn't happening, and I'm looking forward to meeting Chelsea away later in the season.
  12. Well, as you say, everyone knows Israel has the bomb, and it has been common knowledge for decades. So given the NFT, the knowledge of the tech, the raw materials needed, and the destructive potential - yeah, I'd be extremely surprised if any other G20 had the bomb. I have no idea how you reason otherwise, tbh.
  13. Sticking with the Dutch and saying ten Hag?
  14. I do expect Liverpool fans to feel the effect of Klopp next season. To my mind, he's the biggest star of the team and has been since he arrived.
  15. I'll agree both with that being a clear penalty, and that Arsenal are getting a rough deal generally by VAR. So do we, for that matter, but that's more normal in our end of the table.
  16. Well ... can't complain about the swings in this match.
  17. Arsenal are top atm, and will be unless Liverpool score two unanswered.
  18. Feels like a game where Nunes will get the winner, after him working hard for the whole match and missing every shot.
  19. This is the best factoid of Norwegian football these days. In Norway-news, Bryne FK today played away to newly-relegated-from-the-top-division Stabæk. We gave away a cheap goal on the counter early, and after that we spurned a couple of good chances. But that we could play on even terms with a promotion favourite away from home - I'll take that as positive. Also, another useless factoid of Norwegian football: Stabæk is managed by Bob Bradley of PL infamy.
  20. Well .. three points. About the best to be said about that match. Much appreciated, the keeper helping us to a goal, otherwise we still look like we don't really know what a goal is, or what to do with the ball near a goal. Sometime, we might want to change that a bit.
  21. I'll take that. We're clearly second best, but when Dummet changes his career to WWF, it's hard to avoid that penalty. No idea why he did it, Young was never going to score there.
  22. Being a football fan is a bit like pointing loaded weapons at yourself. I have no idea why I'm watching tonight. Machosists are pussies.
  23. Well, Everton seems hell bent on self destructing, but let's leave that for now. Bryne FK started their season yesterday with a fine 3-1 win over IK Start from Kristiansand. Not exactly free flowing football, but a good win and a great way to start the new season!
