I watched Amazon's Road House. It wasn't as bad as I expected it to be, especially the first part of the movie until McGregor shows up with his stupid, cringe grin. Gyllenhaal was good. I didn't particularly care for the crazy camera movement during otherwise well choreographed fight scenes.

I didn't realize that the season finale was going to give us 2 video game adaptations for the price of one: Halo and Solid finale. Even the lesser Soren and Kwan plotline had more stuff going for it.

But so far the stories have been about lowly Dunk interacting with elites.

Like how every DC thread inevitably gets infected with Marvel discussions, or how SW infects other threads, now the reckoning needed to happen here. Balance has been achieved. Also, coincidentally HOTD and Acolyte are coming out the same month, so the will be more chances of crossover discussions.

Until you guys mentioned here, I had no idea HOTD had used the Volume. So I have no idea what you all are talking about poor visual quality in the show. The only poor visuals I recall was one scene on the beach with Daemon and Rhaenyra which was supposed to be at night.

Question: considering the discrimination that the Tuskegee Airmen faced (even in the show their commander remarks that many of them should have been promoted by now), would they have even been upgraded to P-51s at the same time with most other groups, or where they at the tail end of that switch?

The teaser for Prometheus was really good, as I recall. The movie wasn't. So I'm holding out any kind of hope for this Alien until the reviews start coming in.

I guess that would have been the better episode to introduce some of the fliers.

Which scene was that? I would think the doors need to be locked to not open at the wrong time by accident. They certainly weren't used the best way. Maybe if we had seen a mission where they provided escort to the bombers (even if not the 100th), it would have been better. It was Crosby who wrote a book that the show used, hence why he is the narrator. I do agree that it would have been nice if this show had followed the BOB format of having interviews with veterans at the beginning of each episode, but recall that in BOB they only revealed their names at the very end, probably to keep the tension up for the audience (I suspect most viewers were unfamiliar with the individuals that were part of E Co, and the same can be said of these fliers). So telling you before the final episode that Rosie becomes a prosecutor for the Nuremberg trials wouldn't have worked. And the show did specifically establish from the beginning he was Jewish, and that explained his drive to keep fighting. So I think the death camp scene still hit appropriately and you could say that him seeing that is what made him become a prosecutor. (I have no idea if it's true that he saw that camp then before the war ended).

I don't think I've played more than 1 hour across all Halo games, so my opinion is just about the show and I find it OK. Season 2 has been mostly better than season 1. That being said, your opinion is the first completely positive comment from a gamer I've seen. (unless you're being entirely sarcastic. Poe's Law?)

A strong finale. While overall, it wasn't as good as Band of Brothers (nothing is though), I enjoyed the show.
