  1. This Vought+ ad is actually a couple months old, it was shown as an ad during one of the monthly Vought Seven on Seven news things they have been doing all summer, but it was definitely created to poke fun at Disney+.
  2. Another possibility, if Sauron and the One Ring had survived, is that the Witch-King soul would have lingered bound to the rings until Sauron gifted it to another Man. We know the Elven and Dwarven Rings have been passed on to other bearers, so Sauron could raised up a new Ringwraith to replace the Witch King and once someone else was bound to the ring, the Witch King would be released to true death.
  3. As I understand it, the Vox Machina (Campiagn 1), takes place in the same world, but on a separate continent with little, or no, cross over between the two Campaigns. So starting with Campaign 2, I'm only only missing out on some of their jokes and references, out of character, to previous events. Basically at this rate, unless I take vacation time for another binge it'll take me many, many months (over 90 4-hour episodes to go) to catch up to the current show, so will be a long time before I even think about watching the 1st Campaign. But I saw that the animated Legends of Vox Machina is coming to Amazon Prime in 2021 so will watch that instead.
  4. I've never really played D&D, my brother and I had the basic game and AD&D Players Handbook (the one with the huge glowing demon statue on the cover) back in the late 70's and messed around with it for a summer. But I am well aware of it, starting with playing the Radiant Pool computer game back in the day (still have the box, floppy discs, and the physical coder wheel to decipher the password to unlock it somewhere). But never found a group to play with. But would like to thank whoever mentioned Matt Mercer and Critical Role above. I have now lost most of the last two weeks binging the first 26 episodes of their second campaign (started with the Mighty Nein). If I ever catch up with current campaign, I may got back and check out the Vox Machina Campaign. Their voice talents and roleplay are amazing. It's damn addictive, with the cliff hangers causing you to immediately start the next one even though you just finished watching a 4 hour episode. Now, I have to go back to work, and go though withdrawal.
  5. Thanks for starting this thread, I used to read a ton of mysteries, but not as many in last 10 years, and needed to find some new authors to start over which you all are providing. Some of my favorites over the years; Started with the Hardy Boys owned by my brothers and Nancy Drew books owned by my sister, then my mother's Agatha Christie, Ngaio Marsh, Dorothy Sayers, Georgette Heyer, Josephine Tey, and P.D. James. then a whole bunch more followed: John D. MacDonald's Travis McGee books and his other stand alone books Gregory McDonald's Fletch books and Flynn books, which were right next to the Travis McGee books on the shelves in the bookstores Martha Grimes' Richard Jury and Melrose Plant mysteries Ed McBain's 87th precinct stories Tony Hillerman's Navajo mysteries J.A. Jance's Sheriff Joanna Brady Randall Garrett's Lord Darcy, a bit different type of mystery, set in an alternate England where magic works, and Lord Darcy and his team uses the Laws of Magic to solve crimes. Dick Francis' mysteries set in the world of horse racing James Lee Burke's Dave Robicheaux series Jeffrey Deaver's Lincoln Rhyme series Lawrence Blocks' Matthew Scudder and Bernie Rhodenbarr books Carl Hiassin's books, Elmore Leonard's books Dennis Lehane's books, both the stand alones and the Kenzie & Gennaro Ellis Peter's Cadfael mysteries. Derek Jacobi's excellent Cadfael on television lead me to the books.
