  1. I haven't read the whole thread and seen if this question has been discussed, but what was going on with the Pod scene? We never see on camera what exactly went down, but I think it's related to the plot to get Sansa to the Vale. Maybe we wont see Sansa and her "florian", but instead the payment was given back in some plot to save Sansa from the Lannisters. Maidenpool has been cut... Jaime and Brienne fought on a bridge with no fountain. Wouldn't Tyrion's betrothal to Sansa have been revealed in the "chair scene" if it were ever to be revealed? Maybe they are cutting Tyrion/Sansa wedding... it will only be a betrothal, with Tyrion sending Sansa away willingly? Even in the books he felt bad being forced on her and couldn't bring himself to consumate the marriage...
  2. I loved how Tyrion and Bronn looked at the wildfire-nuke they set off. First, they looked with surprise that it worked, then they looked away because it was too bright, and then they looked in amazement and horror. As a spectator to both sides one couldn't help but have mixed feelings. Book readers sympathize with both Davos and Tyrion, and that part of the story pits them directly against one another. I know it didn't explicitly say it anywhere in the books, but I always sort of took it for granted that Loras was Renly's ghost. Who else but Loras would lead the Tyrell vanguard to save the king? His father wanted his daughter to marry the king, and the suit fit! This better win someone at least one Emmy, it was the best hour of TV I've seen in a long time.
  3. The show writers will never combine Dagmar with Ramsay. They are two notable characters in the book that oppose one another, not two notable characters who fill companion roles. Even though I really liked the Reeds, they can be brought in at later seasons to avoid things from getting way too crowded.
  4. Both... at first the first one, then the second one. I love how creepy and brooding the series is making Littlefinger look. This is why I like the Ros addition to the show, it gave us a backstory to Theon in season 1 and Littlefinger in season 2
  5. I'm seeing a recurring theme to the hates: patchface & Shireen, Ros, Stannis Mel sex, and Jon cliffhanger. Shireen and the fool may be offscreen with Stannis's wife, TV viewers don't need to see them because they aren't yet players in the game of thrones. The Mel Stannis scene was totes forgivable because it will explain the shadow baby... which never was explained in the books and was more of a WTF GRRM? when I read it. It also explains why Stannis becomes more devout. Even though the last scene left me with a bad taste in my mouth for the cliffhanger, I'll say it explained something we all expect craster was doing with his boys, giving them to the others. To me though, HBO gets an excuse for one Jon cliffhanger because all we have to do is wait a week to find out he is actually OK. GRRM is making us wait years to find out what's with Jon in the next book on one hell of a cliffhanger.
  6. So, is everyone else still pretty sure Jon isn't dead and is just knocked out?
