  1. Week 12 is in the bag as possibly the highest scoring week of the season overall. Dragonstone Dragons stay red hot, capturing the top spot with 122 points and a blistering 15-1 total. Virtual tie for 2nd between The Quiet Isle Septons and Sunspear Shariffs with 120 points each and 13-3 records. Top 5 remains fairly tight on the leaderboard, with 6-7 having some breathing room between themselves and the pack. Leaderboard looks a little something like this... 1 Bronze Stones 943 45 114-48 2 Dragonstone Dragons 939 38 109-53 3 Oldtown Oliphants 935 52 112-50 4 Quiet Isle Septons 934 51 109-54 5 Tywin 932 35 107-55 6 White Harbor Bakers 925 47 113-49 7 Joe Pesci 925 49 101-61 8 Lumpy the Greek 901 48 109-53 9 rocksniffer redux 900 0 105-56 10 Ramsay 895 38 99-63 11 dbunting 880 38 105-57 12 Sunspear Shariffs 863 44 95-67 13 Wolfswood Forresters 845 34 98-64 14 Maithanet 828 0 101-59
  2. Week 11 is in the books with Dragonstone Dragons capturing the top spot with 89 points and a 12-2 mark. Rocksniffer redus takes 2nd with 86 points and a record of 11-3. Quiet Isle Septons gets 3rd with 81 points and a 9-5 total. Leaderboard is still pretty tight 1-7, with the pack slowly starting to drift out of range. Leaderboard looks a little something like this... 1 Bronze Stones 827 45 102-44 2 Oldtown Oliphants 823 52 100-46 3 Tywin 818 35 95-51 4 Dragonstone Dragons 817 38 94-52 5 Quiet Isle Septons 814 51 96-51 6 Joe Pesci 812 49 90-56 7 White Harbor Bakers 810 47 100-46 8 rocksniffer redux 796 0 93-52 9 Maithanet 789 39 96-50 10 Lumpy the Greek 787 48 97-49 11 Ramsay 782 38 87-59 12 dbunting 773 38 92-54 13 Sunspear Shariffs 743 44 82-64 14 Wolfswood Forresters 737 34 86-60
  3. Yeah, I like the cap hit being spread out. Were it not for that, it would be really hard to drop a big contract.
  4. Chapo Trap House Rips Ben Shapiro's Book a New Asshole /I'm sorely tempted to buy this piece of shit book now. Just hilarious.
  5. Falling deep into the Chapo Trap House rabbit hole. Crazy funny and interesting. "Anime Nazis" is my new favorite term for Alt-Righters. Very Left leaning, so if you don't like that sort of thing, don't bother. Otherwise, you should check it out.
  6. I'll have to check that out. Thanks for the heads up.
  7. Chapo Trap House-War is Heck Interview with Brace Belden an american man who joined the YPG (Kurdish Militia) and went to Syria to fight ISIS. Crazy funny interview. Pretty mind blowing. Fascinating dude.
  8. I've got Phillip's team. Turned out to be not half bad.
  9. Week 10 is in the books with the Quiet Isle Septons taking the top spot, with 98 points and a blistering 12-2 total. Tywin captures 2nd with 96 points and a 11-3 record. Joe Pesci finishes 3rd with 95 points and a 12-2 record. As Bronn calculated yesterday, he has slipped into the #1 slot overall. Leaderboard looks a little something like this. 1 Bronze Stones 749 45 92-40 2 Oldtown Oliphants 748 52 90-42 3 Joe Pesci 744 49 82-50 4 Tywin 740 35 86-46 5 White Harbor Bakers 735 47 90-42 6 Quiet Isle Septons 733 51 87-46 7 Dragonstone Dragons 728 38 82-50 8 Maithanet 714 39 86-46 9 rocksniffer redux 710 0 82-49 10 Ramsay 709 38 79-53 11 Lumpy the Greek 707 48 87-45 12 dbunting 707 38 84-48 13 Wolfswood Forresters 685 34 79-53 14 Sunspear Shariffs 665 44 74-58 15 Kessler's Sports Book 216 0 35-97
  10. Yet another Dan Carlin interview, this one conducted on Daniele Bolelli's podcast, History on Fire /Bonus: Bolelli's accent is kind of amazing. Almost a cartoon Italian accent.
  11. Yeah, I know it's an often expressed idea, but I think the whole "Hitler was the Wehrmachts worst enemy" holds pretty true. I enjoyed that episode a lot. Willing to trade the shorter format for more frequent content posting for sure. I kind of hope he trends this way.
  12. Get yer pick in for tonight's game, peeples. Seachickens vs Cardinals. Battle of the Boids!
  13. Yeah, I really enjoyed that last one. As soon as he got to that Goring bit, I knew it was going to be fun. "If the Allies had some sort of crack commando group whose mission it was to go into the Third Reich and kill various Nazi luminaries, their first directive would've been whatever you do, don't shoot Hermann Goring." Lulz.
  14. Just came across this one on YouTube. From the comments section it looks like it might be a preview of the snippet idea for Hardcore History that he was talking about at the start of the last Common Sense podcast. Cool topic. @Pony Queen Jace @red snow
  15. He just did a talk at Google that was entertaining.
  16. No worries. Yeah, I think he mentioned in that last Common Sense podcast that this was his 4th attempt at that particular subject. It's hard to hold his feet to the fire given the quality of his content, but the sporadic nature of his releases can be a little annoying.
  17. Yeah, I'm excited about that prospect as well, especially if it means more content, more often. I think his perfectionism will likely prevent that from happening, but I can hope. He doesn't often do interview podcasts on his own podcast, but he has done a fair number of interviews on other podcasts. He's been on Rogan a number of times, and he and Sam Harris did a crosscast that was really good. His episode on Dave Rubin was probably Rubin's best (which might not be saying much, but it was a fun watch regardless) If you search Dan Carlin interviews on You Tube you'll come across quite a few. Carlin is also a big fan of Punk Rock, particularly the brand that came out of SoCal when he was a teen/young adult. I posted up an interview he did on a Punk Rock themed podcast earlier in this thread somewhere. That was a fun listen as well, especially if you're into Punk.
  18. Yeah, I love his stance on Free Speech. It's rather validating for me.
  19. Week 9 is in the bag. Bit of a middling week, score wise. Tywin takes the top spot with 74 points and a 10-3 total. Dragonstone Dragons are 2nd with 73 points and a 9-4 record. White Harbor Bakers and Bronze Stones tie for 3rd with 69 points and 10-3 marks. The leaderboard is tightening up 1-6, with only 14 points separating those spots. The pack (7-12) drops back a bit. 1 Oldtown Oliphants 658 52 79-39 2 Bronze Stones 656 45 82-36 3 Joe Pesci 649 49 70-48 4 Tywin 644 35 75-43 5 Dragonstone Dragons 644 38 71-47 6 White Harbor Bakers 644 47 79-39 7 Quiet Isle Septons 635 51 75-44 8 Maithanet 627 39 76-42 9 dbunting 623 38 74-44 10 rocksniffer redux 623 0 72-45 11 Ramsay 617 38 68-50 12 Lumpy the Greek 617 48 76-42 13 Wolfswood Forresters 592 34 68-50 14 Sunspear Shariffs 578 44 65-53 15 Kessler's Sports Book 216 0 35-84
  20. Yeah, I just happened to be really bored Saturday night and came across it on his site... http://www.dancarlin.com/ He usually has the latest Hardcore History and Common Sense podcasts on the bottom of his intro page. I just post up the You Tube versions because they open up directly from the link.
  21. Dan Carlin has a new Common Sense out titled Shades of Grey Solid rant about the current degeneration of our political system
  22. I think Bronn is starting to get the hang of Confidence Points. Could be trouble for the rest of us.
  23. Yeah, I have to imagine that improves his value considerably. I'd better take all the marbles this season or that trade is going to look bad for me.
  24. That middle number on the leaderboard is your lowest scoring (drop) week, as always. The first number is your point total, and the last column is your overall win/loss record.
  25. Week 8 is in the bag and appears to have been one of the kinder ones. Point totals are less because there were only 13 games. Bronze Stones takes the top spot with 88 points. Tywin nabs 2nd with 86 points, and Mathanet takes 3rd with 85. All three placing teams posted an 11-2 mark. Leaderboard is still pretty tight from #1-#4, with a bit of distance from the pack, and looks a little something like this... 1 Oldtown Oliphants 599 52 70-35 2 Joe Pesci 595 49 62-43 3 Bronze Stones 587 45 72-33 4 Quiet Isle Septons 582 53 68-37 5 White Harbor Bakers 575 47 69-36 6 Maithanet 574 39 69-36 7 Dragonstone Dragons 571 38 62-43 8 Tywin 570 35 65-40 9 Lumpy the Greek 568 48 69-36 10 rocksniffer redux 561 0 64-40 11 Ramsay 557 38 61-44 12 dbunting 555 38 65-40 13 Wolfswood Forresters 544 34 61-44 14 Sunspear Shariffs 526 44 58-47 15 Kessler's Sports Book 216 0 35-71
