I wasn't too keen either on this one. 6 from me. I liked: Jon scenes Jaimie scenes (I thought the bear stuff was alright) I didn't like: Theon and the whores. Just a very strange scene. Joffrey/tywin scene. Such a waste of opportunity. Shae and Talisa "Lannisters send their regard"..... Why not just "send Robb stark my regards"? Why change it? It doesn't even sound right.... And in general it's all so slow. The book is like a roller coaster. But they managed to turn this in a bit of a snooze fest :(

Solid 8 from me. Great ending, but find the overall pace a little bit slow. It's all coming along nicely tho :)

Gave it an 8. Things I didn't like: Edmure being miscast. He should be naive. They made him arrogant and stupid. The pod/whore scene was pointless, although kind of funny. But felt like wasted time.

Much better than the first episode. 8 :)

I just watched it in the UK and will give it a 10- . The - being for the ending being too sudden for my liking (tywin riding in...."yup, we've won"...... Credits) Apart from that it was of course perfect. What did completely spoiled it for me however, is the fact that SKY Atlantic (basically HBO for the UK) put 4(!) advert blocks in. It completely took away the pace and didn't get the chance to get fully immersed in it.

I just watched the episode here in the UK and after reading this forum beforehand, I was quite intrigued to see the Joffrey scene. My thoughts were along the lines of "is that it?" though my flat mate asked me why on earth I was watching this and left the room in disgust lol. Anyway, I liked the episode on the whole. It was definitely very dark and gruesome. The Qarth scene was a bit awkward and just didn't make sense. Just show them the dragons? My least favorite part of the book has always been the shadow babies, mainly because it's a bit contrived and because it's Mel doing it, as I always considered her a bit of a fraud.... And I suppose I just prefer the realistic part of the books.
