  1. The Phantom was a staple of my childhood and Treat Williams was great over-the-top fun as the villain in that. Otherwise I'll probably mostly remember him from his very memorable turn in Things to do in Denver when you're dead.
  2. Oh no, this one really hurts. Loved Stevenson in everything I saw him in, even if the production wasn't always good he always elevated it by his presence. 58 is way too young.
  3. If you like movie-podcasts where the episodes are way longer than the movie they're discussing it's a good choice. And Sunshine is great. I actually watched it for the first time recently because the Blank Check episode on it was coming up and I felt it was a good excuse to finally watch it.
  4. It's Spider-Man meets Iron Man. Which is incidently also MCU's take on Spider-Man.
  5. Always a quality actor in everything I ever saw him in, he always elevated whatever he starred in. In true The Wire fashion I'll be putting on Body of an American in his honor tonight.
  6. This is probably the movie I'm the most excited for this year.
  7. D.H. Peligro, drummer for the Dead Kennedys passed away at October 28. RIP
  8. That's sad news. To me the definitive role I'll always associate with Robbie Coltrane i his Russian mobster from Goldeneye and The World is Not Enough. Not a major role in either film, but well memorable.
  9. Sonny Corleone notwithstanding, Rollerball is always going to be the first movie I associate James Caan. And what a movie. RIP
  10. RIP Gilbert Gottfried https://twitter.com/RealGilbert/status/1513960910217486342?s=20&t=rxKue_pSAXTsSaaA7XhEBg
  11. I liked the finale and I think they stuck the landing: Overall I think the final season was very good (which I think of every Expanse season) even if a few more episodes probably wouldn't have hurt. I think that if they aren't going to adapt the whole book series, this is probably one of the best places to stop, even if the inclusion of the Laconia stuff feels pretty weird. I'll miss the show and I'll miss Drummer, Amos and even Holden, but it did go out on a good note. Yeah, the time-skip in the books didn't really work for exactly this reason.
