[Book Spoilers] EP 207 Discussion
The Nerdly Knight replied to Ran's topic in E07: A Man Without Honor
I was really thrown off by this episode and all the changes that have been made. So far I have had no issues with the sight deviations here and there but this week threw me for a serious loop. I will say on a positive note I am enjoying the chemistry between Ygritte and Jon.- 801 replies

[Book Spoilers] EP 205 Discussion
The Nerdly Knight replied to Ran's topic in E05: The Ghost of Harrenhal
Because it was never his idea originally but Cersei's. Tyrion's idea was the great chain. With that said this was a fantastic episode, especially for being a transitional one. It helped to build up a lot of tension for what is coming and really has me excited for next week. Jacqen was great this week, even if his first kill was the Tickler. Add in great scenes with Arya and Davos and I really enjoyed it. I do have to admit that I still dislike the fact that the Reeds hadn't been cast for this season but it something to live with.- 686 replies

This is pretty darn awesome! Hopefully one day I can attend a con with BwB or see to an event down South and get the BwB involved! -

[Book Spoilers] Ep 203 Discussion
The Nerdly Knight replied to Ran's topic in E03: What Is Dead May Never Die
So looking back one other thing that has caught my eye/attention was that the conversation between Bran and the Maester Luwin in the books takes place after the arrival of Reed's children, Meera and Jojen. Jojen tries to share his dreams from the greenvision which sparks that whole conversation among some other interesting things like Summer and Shaggydog going nuts, Bran being called a warg, etc. I'm wondering if we will see the Reed children here next week now that we are also seeing the Greyjoy's preparing to move out?!- 807 replies

Keep in mind he has the same attitude in the book. Where they are the laws are different, in fact Craster has no law to bend to beyond the Wall that would match what those men were use to. By "doing something" about his actions they would have lost an ally who had always provided food and shelter to the Night's Watch as well as potentially caused a host of other ethical and legal issues as well.- 807 replies

Excellent episode and my favorite of the season so far. Yoren really stole the show with his bravery though I was disappointed they didn't let Arya and the recruits work out there exploration bit, Other than that the bit between Renly and Margaery in his chambers was perfect as was Theon's explosive anger at Balon. I will say though the Shae and Sansa bit threw me off as is Littlefinger going to do the negotiations. I guess we'll have to see how it all plays out over the next few episodes.- 807 replies

Was anyone else as pleased with casting of Balon Greyjoy as I was? I found the actor to be incredibly in-tune with the character of Balon and he delivered the lines perfectly. "I will not have my son dressed as a whore." came off perfectly. Plus I feel as if HBO really nailed the mood and feel of Pike altogether.

Quite a few things irked me about this episode sadly though overall it was still a nice one. 1) Joffrey ordering the killing of the bastard children. I mean really? 2) The conversation between Tyrion and Varys was very underplayed and a let down. 3) Rorge had a nose 4) Arya/Gendry however have a great thing going in this series and Arya's story has been great so far 5) Someone already said it but did we really need Detective Snow out seeing Other's and getting bopped on the head?

Greetings everyone. Jeremey here and I'm a Las Vegas native stuck in Louisiana for almost 8 years now. I've been a GRRM fan and more importantly a ASOIAF fan for a long time now and really wanted to find a place to share my passion with. I decided to reread the books from scratch when I picked up A Dance With Dragons so that I could enjoy everything fresh and in proper order if you will. ;) Anyways, I'm looking forward to meeting some fun people here and maybe joining in on the MUSH if I can work up the time and courage.
