  1. Is it me, or that last scene with Dany felt... Odd? I mean, it's kinda like they only included it there because they had to have Dany on it. It looked kinda... Out of place.
  2. Shit hit the fan so hard that I had to wait for 15 minutes in order to log in... But that was to be expected. Still, what got me the most about this episode wasn't even the Red Wedding. It's the way Jojen sees Bran warg Hodor and is not horrified about it, but even a bit giddy. That's an important point. I wonder what, if anything, that teels us about Bran's future in the novels. Also, lovely Rickon/Bran/Osha moment right there.
  3. Yeah. You think the NIght's Watch is composed of noble and decent and, above all, reasonable fellows. I get that. I rest my case.
  4. Yeah, it's not like Cersei, Littlefinger and Varys have spies that would outmaneuver Tyrion the instant he decided to take this politically flawless decision, amirite?
  5. They kinda made a chimaera of all the sellsword companies in this. They even put a bit of the Golden COmpany with the talh about not going back on their word.
  6. You keep ignoring the fact the the Night's Watch isn't about to take a wildling on her word and that even Sam's friend's can hold a reasonable doubt about him killing an Other, a feat few know to be possible. Plus, he needs more than his friends to believe him. He needs the Watch to believe him. That's part of the pull he uses to convince the other commanders vote for Jon Snow. I have no problems with the seires changing. I'm just pointing out that this is a great change, not a tiny one, and that it kinda sucks for Sam also, since I believe his fame was a great confidence booster for him.
  7. Dude. Sam is a fat coward. Gilly is a wilding. A wildling. The brothers are not usually the best of men, and they are way worse when fat cowards and wildlings are concerned. They would perceive this story as some way Sam found of earning respect, and would see Gilly's support as a wildling whore attaching himself to an incompetent brother in order to get protection. They needed witnesses. They have none. Not trustworthy ones, anyway.
  8. Yes, because all the brothers of the Night's Watch would believe in a wildling girl's mad tales without batting an eye.
  9. Can we please not turn this into a Tyrion/Sansa topic? Pretty please with sugar on top?
  10. BTW, loved Dany's "What do you mean I don't speak Dothraki perfectly well?" Newsflash, Mother of Dragons: sometimes, husbands will lie to their wives so they feel better about themselves =P
  11. Yep. I hated that. Sam actually built a sort of a reputation there. Now I wonder, why would the brothers listen to him at all?
  12. They actually made Sansa kneel. I could hear anguished wails all the way from the north hemisphere.
  13. It was a singular piece of moral nihilism. The worst part about it is that I can bet quite a lot of viewers agreed with him. Episode should have ended there, tough. Cheesy kiss atop the Wall ruined everything forever.
  14. I think that was on purpose. Are you familiar with the concept of "Take That, Audience"?
