I wasn't happy to see Mel return to the Wall because I didn't want Jon to be resurrected by the Red God like Bedric. If he does, Jon is pretty much dead to me.

Disappointed naturally in the ending. Was expecting something very climatic and it didn't happen. Probably because Feast of Crows needs something juicy to spice it up a little. Had to do a reread to enjoy the book. Did really like the acting with Tyrion,Cersei and Tywin. Very strong pieces right there. Thoughts Sam's scenes with Bran and then with Aemon were done well. The continuation of the Red Wedding was an added bonus. (All Freys must die btw.)

I gave a 9 but to me this was one of, if not the best episode to date. I almost gave it a 10 but I'm reserving that for a future episode. Vargo Hoat is as nasty if not nastier in the tv version as he is in the book. Throwing Varys's torturer into the episode was deviously clever. Daenerys Stormborn/Targaryen and her Valyrian speech was beautiful to listen to. Topping it off was the Dragon and the Unsullied. Very impressed with HBO's special effects here. Made the "Spartacus" Roman army look like Davy and Goliath clay figurines. Well done. Better than Blackwater to me because the books description of that battle couldn't be duplicated. Left me a little disappointed actually because my expectations were just too high. This episode just blew me away because I wasn't expecting much to be honest and came away with my jaw gaping with this one.
