  1. Cat still has plenty of time to tell everyone what a sweetheart Edmure is and blah blah blah. Furthermore, "being kind of heart" has nothing to do with competency. Edmure was a fuck up in the books, he's a fuck up in the show, they just streamlined it, like they do everything. I don't see what all the huff is about.

  2. Agree the BWB have been good so far. Small nitpick, though: Thoros just sounds like another Brit, ie., Westerosi. I was expecting something different for someone from Myr.

Non-book readers willbe blown away when he revives Beric, as the show has given no hint that Thoros knows magic.

Well he has been living in Westeros for decades...?

    /excuse

  3. Between Thoros and Anguy the Brotherhood Without Banners are crazy charismatic and likeable so far, so Robin Hood it hurts. They're one of my favorite things about the season. I'm sure things will get more glum once The Boss comes into the picture but in the meantime, they're just so much fun.

Definitely my favorite thing this season. Merging Thoros and Tom/Sevens was a great touch.

Am I the only one who thinks Ramsay saving Theon from being raped was a bit out of character? Seems Ramsay would have let him get raped just a TAD before saving him...

  4. Soooo.....

Basically Locke chops Jaimie's hand during a fit of jealous rage, feeling inadequate next to Jamie's fancy words, and riches, and looks, etc. - and probably without fully thinking out the consequences before he did it?

I mean, he just ordered Brienne to be left unharmed in order to preserve her value as a swap, so why else would he turn around and harm Jamie, an even more valuable prisoner?

Hoat does the exact same thing in the books. It's just the character. Take it up with Martin.

I don't want to like that Bear/Maiden segway, as it's just so out of place and awkward, but because it's so awkward and whacky it somehow love it.

  5. Sweet reading! Barristan slicing through douche bags is going to be a beauty.

Speaking of slicing -- I really hope that we get to see another Victarion chapter in which he's slaying on a massive scale. I just re-read the Shield Islands chapter from aFfC where he kills between 6-11 guys in only three pages, and throws the young noble guy into the water. I want to see a doubling or tripling of that, similar to the Japanese fight scene in Kill Bill 1.

Since he's such an archetypical fantasy character I really want him to have a glorious archetypical death (unlike most I don't think he'll perish in winds, but I seriously doubt he'll survive he whole deal).

My dream scenario involves Vic, that Valyrian axe on Gilligan's Isle or whatever, some sort cramped, enclosed chokepoint, and at least but not limited to 100 corpses of whatever affiliation.

    ....DEMON ARM!
