Has anyone read the set of essays on the General page arguing that the Ghiscari are more rational and competent then they appear to be? It argues that the Shavepate is like to Littlefinger, that he is the one that poisoned the locusts, and that he is truly looking to cement his own power. With this new theory in mind, let's think about where he is at the present -- inside the city walls with all of the Brazen Beasts! What if he decides to close the gates, effectively taking power for himself and not allowing anyone else in? This would lead to one of the best possible endings of the battle: Victarion using the dragon(s) to torch the city to the ground. Oh, the possibilities!

Sweet reading! Barristan slicing through douche bags is going to be a beauty. Speaking of slicing -- I really hope that we get to see another Victarion chapter in which he's slaying on a massive scale. I just re-read the Shield Islands chapter from aFfC where he kills between 6-11 guys in only three pages, and throws the young noble guy into the water. I want to see a doubling or tripling of that, similar to the Japanese fight scene in Kill Bill 1.

I think the only kraken horn we've heard about was located on the Driftmark, Lord Celtigar's island just west of Dragonstone. Wonder where it is now... Back to the chapter releases -- awesome stuff, Barristan is quite the badass even in his 60s!!! But his ill omens are making me a bit worried, especially about... What's going on back inside the Meereen walls? Any thoughts on that? This battle won't be the end of the Meereen knot, I'm assuming.
