  1. The Wheel of Time sidenotes: This is not the beginning.

That's a good point, an example being the belief that the Aes Sedai of the Age of Legends could fly, when in reality flight was accomplished by various types of Sho'Jihn (i think it's how that is spelled)
  2. The Wheel of Time sidenotes: This is not the beginning.

Yes, several of the Forsaken are reincarnated into new bodies.
  3. The Wheel of Time sidenotes: This is not the beginning.

On the subject of those wanting to negoiate with the Forsaken, you need to remember that the War of Power was among the single most brutal and horrific conflicts in the history of the world, it was arguably worse then the Trolloc Wars and the Last battle itself. So towards the end of the conflict, any option that allowed humanity to continue was considered. As for the reliability of the Seals, Culliendar was, and still is, the most indestructible and tough substances ever created by man, even Balefire can't damage it. It wasn't a bad assumption that the Seals would last that long.

WoT? I like RJ's storytelling but his characters lack flexibility. Most of them follow patterns based on some preset traits that he mentioned at some point.

I agree, but i still find it enjoyable. Aside from Path of Daggers, where somehow in over 600 pages, nothing of any significance happens...

He ends up with well over a 100 characters whose story-lines he must keep track of. It's an extremely ambitious project for a writer. Not to mention that some of the main female personalities are indiscernible over longer chapters (I remember confusing Egwene for Nynaeve during their inner monologues). But I'm probably being unfair; it's still a fascinating world he created.

  13. On to Lord of Chaos...

  14. Roughly 70% through The Fires of Heaven, and still loving every moment of it.
