  1. I gave it an 8. I liked everything, but didn't agree with their choice of final scene. a.) Dany's already been given a season ending scene before (which was totally in place and epically epic) and b.) Dany's astapor scene was much more epic than the "Mhysa" scene, so it felt underwhelming Other than that, I enjoyed everything. Bran&Sam, Jon&Ygritte (yes I actually don't mind, maybe I'm biased), the reveal of Ramsey Snow's identity, Davos Davos Davos, Arya Arya Arya, everything at king's landing, everything at the wall, and the Mhysa scene too I think was well done but just wish there was something more powerful after that. Anything really, not necessarily coldhands or LS but anything as epic as the birth of dragons or an army of white walkers.
  2. That wasn't my point. Gay half-sex scenes between Loras and Renly were ok. I just preferred the book version where the major gay character is shown as faithful to his partner even after his death. They even recorded a scene for season two between Loras and Marge where he was grieving for Renly but they cut that out. You can't really compare that with Pod because he isn't the only heterosexual character in the series.
  3. I gave it a 9. It was a very strong episode. Loved Jon/Ygritte, Robb & Karstark, Grey Worm, Tywin & kids, Shireen & Davos, all of the BWB scenes, and of course Jaime & Brienne. The reason I took off a point is because of the portrayal of Ser Loras. I know some characters on TV can be very different from their book counterparts, but I feel like the rewriting of his a little more homophobic than GRRM's version. Loras of the books was so faithful and truly in love with Renly. I personally think it would have been more tasteful to depict that kind of relationship rather than have a man that will sleep with anything with a p**** just because he's gay.
  4. WOWOWOWOW Loving the Tyrell women. Both were fantastic. NW at Craster's Keep was perfect. Poor Old Bear :( Brienne & Jaime scenes were gold. Tywin's lines were epic. Really gave off the 'you don't mess with this guy' vibe Lots of Varys. A lot of new (non-book) stuff there but the actor is so good he makes it work for me. Theon's breakdown and then getting a taste of deception. Well done there. Beric Dondarrion came across as epic as he does in the books. The Hound and Arya were both great in that scene. It was really the highlight of the episode but then... WOWOWOW Dany! She just blew my mind today. Everything about that scene was so perfect. WOW! 10/10 :D
  5. I really wish there was a legal way to purchase only the show, not too long after it airs. I don't have any cable or satellite TV subscription (I barely watch any shows, I watch this one because of the books, and I use Netflix sometimes). I have the first 2 seasons on DVD, but they come a year later. But yeah, I understand your point and so I'm not complaining about the soundtrack mess-up :)
  6. What worked for me: - Dany's part was great. Barristan, Jorah, Kraznys, Missandei and Dany all were performed amazingly. Loved the Rhaegar references. - The small council scene was awesome. Again all the actors there did a great job - The whole thing at Craster's keep - Jaime/Brienne, saphires, hand and all - The Hot Pie scene was adorable. There isn't too much cuteness on this show so that made me smile - I actually liked the Talisa scene too, probably for the same reason as above - Love the set for Riverrun. Cat and Robb were great. What didn't work: - Blackfish pushing Edmure - The Stannis/Mel thing was just weird - The random Pod scene. Total waste of time A much more eventful episode than the last 2, naturally. I'd say it's a 9
