  1. I’ve just started the first season and this doesn’t fill me with confidence
  2. Just watched the first episode of the first season. Visually stunning and very impressive and so far I’m invested enough in the story and the characters. I think they set things up fairly well…I have no idea where this story is going though (never read Asimov for my sins…)
  3. It’s not terribly written, but not the best either, pretty straight forward and to the point which I appreciated. Good story, characters can sometimes be a teeny bit flat but I was still invested in them. I did enjoy the book and found I couldn’t really put it down because I had to find out what was happening next. Didn’t like that the villain always has to be stereotypically ugly lol but yeah I think it’s worth a read.
  4. It does say in the book that they’re forbidden from digging laterally. They’re only allowed to continue digging deeper. Which does pose the question how much further can they dig and I’m no expert but what of value are they even digging at this point. But yeah, it does heavily imply the silos are very close together in the book and that the mines are not dug sideways
  5. I just finished the book and I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say that apparently they can only mine down, down, down. They aren’t allowed to mine sideways as that is forbidden. The silos really are pretty close together! Kind of makes it all that much more tragic and frustrating!
  6. Hmm okay I’ll give it a go. I want something that visually looks incredible and has some actors in I like. I won’t get my hopes up for than that! Thank you
  7. For someone who hasn’t read the source material - Is it a good science fiction show worth watching?
  8. Severance was pretty good! Will Happily watch another season, interested to learn more. Raised some really interesting questions about life & moral dilemmas to think on. I really liked it.
  9. Watching Severance. Bringing up a lot of interesting questions. Enjoying it.
  10. Blowing a hooley out there today. Torrential rain, high winds and stormy weather today - half 2 and haven’t even taken the doggy out yet. Going to put on a rain coat and brave it now but wow - what a lovely summer
  11. I take “difficult actress” with a real big pinch of salt. Don’t get me wrong, it could VERY much be true but I also think some actresses have been blacklisted for less than stellar reasons.
  12. Oooh I haven’t yet - thank you! It’s sci-fi isn’t it? Definitely my cup of tea. Waiting for my mum to be ready to watch Foundation but that’s on my list too.
  13. I actually love this film and I love Heigl. She’s gorgeous and could have chemistry with a plastic bag. I really miss seeing her in more stuff.
  14. Just finished Black Bird on Apple tv - really good little show. Great acting. what should I watch next on this platform?
  15. I was the fckn troll of course yes there are many pics somewhere - will have to search them out lmao
  16. It’s all a CATASTROPHE Oh man I might rewatch that tonight I’m giggling just thinking about it now. Nigel’s beautiful trilogy piano piece, all the lines intertwining, influenced by Mozart and Bach, so like a Mach piece really…(edit: I won’t spoil the punchline for anyone)
  17. My friends and I once went to a comic con dressed as the Night Man Cometh cast. It was fckn hysterical - great response from anyone who recognised us
  18. Why did no one tag me in this… definitely adding this to my list! I’ve been watching loads of YouTube since I’ve been ill actually - lots of video essays. I like munecat on there
  19. Right so this thread has produced ‘tits’ and ‘penis’ as an answer thus far…I think there’s a theme!
  20. Oh my god one of my absolute FAVOURITES. Sometimes I’m just going about my business like normal and then the Stonehenge song pops into my head and I burst out laughing. Actually, that could apply to so many of the scenes. SO good
  21. Started Black Bird. DAMN Taron got hench…good for him! It is atmospheric, nice score and good acting so far. really impressed with Apple TV +
  22. Rewatched the Dungeons and Dragons film and it still holds up outside of the cinema! A lot of fun.
