Lany, it is not rotating shift. It was actually my choice to work OT today.
My shift is 4-12 Monday-Friday, but with what I do I need someone else to work with. I do not work Sunday because it is the only day I have with my wife, she normally works Saturdays.
And where I work I need another person to work with and he would only come in at 6. I figured for Christmas the extra money would be nice, bad choice.
ETA: They do have rotating shifts where I work. They are 12 hour days, however. And it switches from 6pm-6am to 6am-6pm. The good side with the 12 hour shifts is that is 17.5% more an hour, and at one point 7 days off in a row.
