Landed Knight (6/8)

  1. LOL agree!! triple :stillsick: :stillsick: :stillsick: for me!! and also from 1 to 10 is quite a jump!! I give a 8/10. - Dany's scenes were great. - The weeding was awesome (except for Sansa kneeling). - Any scene with Arya and the Hound is great. - Joffrey and Tywin were awesome, as always, just as awesome as in the books. - Finally Sam the Slayer and Puddles!! or well, Shards!! - Davos reading was so cute, and some history is always welcome!! On the other hand: - The rest of the Dragonstone scenes were terrible IMO. - Many inconsistencies with languages and accents. - Olenna is rather annoying. For reference: ep1: 7 ep2: 7 ep3: 8 ep4: 8 ep5: 9 ep6: 6 ep7: 7 ep8: 8 Things are getting good again! Hope next episode gets a 9 or even a 10!!
  2. But if it is so necessary to be blood from his penis, then why not drop the three down there? Why just one?!
  3. 7/10. - Jon felt like Jon. - Dany was awesome. - Jaime and brienne were awesome as always. - The Joff I know and love was back :D and not that psycho monster they made of him in the last episodes :whip: - Ygritte is sooooo annoying, more than in the books IMO. I can barely stand her. The rest I don't want to talk about.............
  4. Yeah, and then probably Talisa is going to become Lady Stoneheart.
  5. Show Tyrion never: - Said he imagined his father and sister burning when he was a kid. - Broke Marilion's fingers. - Said he participated in Tysha's rape. - Slapped Shae. - Gave the antler men to Joff so he could throw them with a trebuchet. - Poisoned Cersei. - Burned everything outside of the Mud Gate. - Threatened to rape Tommen. - Killed Symon Silver Tongue (well this hasn't happened yet, but I doubt it will) - Was convinced into marrying Sansa, and actually saw it as a benefit for himself. (he was forced, never saw it as a benefit, and heck he even told her about it) I watch (or read?) an interview with GRRM where they asked him what portrayal he liked the most. He said that Tyrion because he thinks Dinklage makes him stand out whenever he is on screen, but he also said that Dinklage's Tyrion is quite different from his.
  6. Eeerrrr. One of my friends thinks Tyrion is way better for Sansa. The unsullied of the TWoP, think Tyrion is "the purest definition of good, strong, and kind" and that he is the kind of man that Ned would have wanted Sansa to marry. (thanks to the "whitewashing"). Another friend hates Sansa. He cannot stand her, he says she is incerdibly stupid and dumb and wants her to have a terrible death. He thinks that Tyrion doesn't deserve to be married to such person, and hopes she dies before the wedding so Tyrion doesn't have to marry her. Soo......what's your point again?
  7. First of all, Tyrion is one of my favorite charcters, and I still love him after ADwD. Everybody hated his chapters in ADwD, but I really enjoyed them. At this point of the story, Tyrion is still a "good guy", but at this point he also starts going downhill. Tyrion was always considered a "good guy", but he always had a "dark side", too. This "dark side" is exactly why he bacame one of my favorite characters in the first place. I read the books before watching the show, so this was my reaction to Tyrion when I first read the books: AGoT: Then he saw the other one, waddling along half-hidden by his brother's side. Tyrion Lannister, the youngest of Lord Tywin's brood and by far the ugliest. All that the gods had given to Cersei and Jaime, they had denied Tyrion. He was a dwarf, half his brother's height, struggling to keep pace on stunted legs. His head was too large for his body, with a brute's squashed-in face beneath a swollen shelf of brow. One green eye and one black one peered out from under a lank fall of hair so blond it seemed white. Jon watched him with fascination. Me: hmmmm, a dwarf? This is going to be interesting. I'll be paying attention to this guy. AGoT: "Let me give you some counsel, bastard," Lannister said. "Never forget what you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armor yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you." Me: Oh, I really like this guy. AGoT: "Oh, yes. Even a stunted, twisted, ugly little boy can look down over the world when he's seated on a dragon's back." Tyrion pushed the bearskin aside and climbed to his feet. "I used to start fires in the bowels of Casterly Rock and stare at the flames for hours, pretending they were dragonfire. Sometimes I'd imagine my father burning. At other times, my sister." Jon Snow was staring at him, a look equal parts horror and fascination. Tyrion guffawed. "Don't look at me that way, bastard. I know your secret. You've dreamt the same kind of dreams." Me: Wow, this is not just a poor little dwarf fitghting in the wrong side. This guy is grey, he is actually quite dark. I LOVE TYRION! Show Tyrion never: - Said he imagined his father and sister burning when he was a kid. - Broke Marilion's fingers. - Said he participated in Tysha's rape. - Slapped Shae. - Gave the antler men to Joff so he could throw them in a trebuchet. (we was forced, never saw it as a benefit, and heck he even told her about it) This doesn't make Tyrion a "bad guy", but it does make him a grey character. It adds depth to the character and makes him more interesting. Show Tyrion has been "whitewashed". He has become only a witty comic relief and Ned 2.0. I personally don't like it. I like flawed characters. I liked Ned, but he was never one of my favorites and I never loved him because he was too honorable and too "white" for me (that's just personally of course). I don't want a Ned 2.0, a honorable, shining armor knight in the size of a dwarf that is fighting in the wrong side. I want to see the morally ambiguous, grey, and flawed character that Tyrion is in the books. I just don't even find show Tyrion interesting.
  8. 6/10 I didn't like the episode that much. Maybe the episode is not that bad, maybe it just feels like that after last weeks episode, which was great. But I think it wasn't very well-written. I didn't even like Petyr's speech. Don't exactly know why. Too deep for me, maybe? but oh well, bright side is: next weeks episode is GRRM's! and after this one, it's gonna be great!!! For reference: Ep1: 7 Ep2: 7 Ep3: 8 Ep4: 8 Ep5: 9 Ep6: 6 I was hoping this one would be another 9 :crying:
  9. Yeah, you're right. Although, I never said that being albino would make you less sensitive to sunlight. I said that Dany would be the exception because she is "the blood of the dragon", but since she did have problems then it doesn't matter. Baratheons are known to have black hair and blue eyes, but the books never said that ALL the Baratheons in ALL history have black hair and blue eyes. The ones we cunrrently know in the story do, but there could've been some exception before. Although it IS stated that EVERY TIME the Stag and the Lion mated, the Stag was dominant. It doesn't mean that there couldn't be an exception with some othe House. However, that wasn't mentioned in the show. In the show they just said that Baratheons = black hair, always. Either way, the show made a HUGE mistake with Shireen's hair. And....Robert's seed is strong.
  10. Well they are more violet than purple, and is a very weird thing, but they exist. Maybe Targaryens are albinos, why not? She is the Blood of the Dragon, sun-blazing and hot Essos cannot burn her.
  11. It doesn't happen in real life, but GRRM has already stated that genetics in his world don't work exactly like in real life. But even in real life, it is not so weird for families to have some characteristics. And purple eyes DO exist.
  12. Yeah, Jon even slept with Ghost between Ygritte and him to prevent something from happening.     I agree with you.
  13. I think it could be more easily excused in the books. The books didn't stablish that ALL the baratheons had black hair. It isaid that always when Lannisters and Baratheon mixed, the Baratheons were dominant, and the kids had black hair. But in the show they dropped the Baratheons + Lannisters = black hair detail, and simply said that Baratheons = black of hair. So, only considering the show, Shireen's hair can hardly be excused.
